Backend engineer focused on data pipelines and automation. I build things that move data reliably and write CLI tools when the existing ones aren't quite right.
Tech I work with most:
- Python (primary — data pipelines, scripting, tooling)
- Go (for things that need to be fast or distributed as a single binary)
- Shell (glue, cron jobs, the usual)
- PostgreSQL, dbt, Airflow on the data side
What I'm working on:
Mostly pipeline reliability stuff at the moment — better observability, cleaner failure modes. Also slowly building out a CLI tool for managing local dev data fixtures, which has been more useful than I expected.
What I'm learning:
Getting more comfortable with Go for anything that needs to ship as a standalone binary. Also digging into DuckDB for local data work.
