Are you interested in Retroachievements at all? Would you be open to exchanging some of the roms in the set for ones that are compatible with retroachievements? |

I think it would be a redundant addition to TopRoms. Since RetroArch, LaunchBox, RetroBat and Daijishou all have RetroAchievements support. However, you could always create something that could be auxiliary to TopRoms. |

I noticed some names in dreamcast, psx and ps2 collection still have things like (Europe), (It, es, pt) etc. on them. Also there is zero information about the PAL vs NTSC vs NTSC-J on those files which would be very useful considering the fps differences and sometimes content difference. |

I've been heavily considering putting the region identifiers back, rather than having them truncated like they are right now. As yes, there are some regional differences, for fan translations and so on. And also, for unlicensed titles. Then, I could include a little script that removes them from the file names for those who don't want them. What does everyone think? |

Thanks for the kind words. I also have a retro handheld (Miyoo Mini) and it's a great diversionary that I keep on my living room for a quick game. Though, for gaming on the road, I use my phone along with an 8Bitdo micro. It seems to be a popular usage for TopRoms. |

I just want to add a note. I get a lot of complaints about download speeds. My seedbox can only handle so much traffic, the bandwidth isn't infinite. Please, if you want to support the project, continue seeding, even if you have a partial download. Again, I don't accept donations for TopRoms, so this is the best way you can help me out. And get everyone to start gaming (and hoarding) sooner! |

I have some sad news about Myrient, the website where I get clean and safe ROMs from to build TopRoms. Unfortunately, the site owner is bringing the site down on March 31, 2026. Citing high costs that he pays out out of pocket for hosting, around 6000$ a month. And the shortage of RAM and Storage due to the AI boom has made things even more expensive. It's the first time I've shed tears for a website being brought down. This is really sad news for the preservation community. However, the community is already bustling to build a successor and get it up and running. Though we'll need to exercise patience. Follow https://www.reddit.com/r/savemyrient/. Do whatever you can to help with the projects. We're united by our love for retro games, an important part of our history and culture. I'm constantly working on TopRoms, the next edition being very ambitious and a ton of surprises. This is going to slow me down, but I'm really hoping to push something out by the end of the year. |
