I'm a PhD candidate at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where I research Digital Skills & Competences — the human side of a world increasingly shaped by algorithms. Before that, I built my foundations in Computer Science at the University of Macedonia and deepened my expertise through an MSc in Data & Web Science, also at AUTH.
I don't just study machine learning — I think about what it means, who it affects, and how to make it work for people rather than around them.
Most of my work lives at the intersection of Natural Language Processing, advanced ML, and real-world impact. I'm genuinely excited by the challenge of taking something messy and human — language, behavior, knowledge — and finding structure in it without losing its meaning.
Right now I'm deep in:
- 🧠 Advanced NLP — from transformer architectures to the subtler problems of language understanding
- 📊 Data Science for social good — using data to ask better questions, not just get faster answers
- 🔬 ML research — I read papers the way some people read novels: looking for the idea that changes how I see everything else
Rigor without dogma. The best model isn't always the most complex one. I care about understanding why something works.
Openness. Science moves faster when we share. I try to contribute back to the communities that taught me.
Humility. Every dataset has a history. Every model has blind spots. Knowing that keeps the work honest.
