sd card timing affecting playback? #4

Hi, this is really an "odd one" that i wanted to ask about. I had enormous fun building a 1u 19-inch rack for everything minidexed (including my favourite jv sounds, e.g your great port to rPI :))

probonopd/MiniDexed#957

I should mention already from the start that if the sd-card is plugged straight into the rPI5 (which i use) it works. I have miniDexed, mini-jv880 and dreamDexed working this way (sounding great btw).

My intention with the rack was to also be able to "swap" engines via the front-panel and so i have this capability (currently via an sdtf-extender cabel), but i plan to replace this with an usb-c panel mount adapter connected via USB-A internally.

When i boot the unit via the sdtf extender, i can boot both miniDexed and dreamDexed up without issues and the sound is there + all functionality via the rotary encoder & my NO switches. When i do the same with mini-jv880, it boots, i can scroll through the patches but there is no sound at all this way (again, it works when i plug the micro-sd directly into the rPI inside).

Could it be that it is "sensitive" for any timing issues introduced by a sdtf extender? (this feels a bit off, but who knows.... i don't :)) Is there a setting in the .ini file i could try to make things more forgiving and that might provide sound output?
