The x- and y- velocities are great though time resolution may be too high. It should be possible to get a z-velocity from GPS coordinates as well, assuming the input contains a GPS z-coordinate. PROMICE does not yet provide that to us AFAIK, but they soon may. Please prepare for that eventuality.
