Backend engineer focused on distributed systems and developer tooling. I mostly work on things that make infrastructure easier to reason about and CLIs that don't get in your way.
Tech Stack
- Go — primary language, most of my projects live here
- Python — scripting, data wrangling, quick prototypes
- Rust — learning, occasional systems work
- Tools: Docker, Kubernetes, Postgres, gRPC, NATS
What I'm working on
Mostly internal tooling around service orchestration and some open source experiments with distributed coordination. Nothing dramatic, just trying to make the day-to-day a bit less painful.
What I'm learning
Digging deeper into consensus algorithms (Raft, mostly) and experimenting with Rust for lower-level components where Go's runtime gets in the way.
