Welcome to the overview page of RUXAILAB’s participation in the Google Summer of Code (GSoC)!
Here you’ll find a summary of how our organization — formerly known as Uramaki LAB — has evolved through the years, the projects developed, and how our community continues to grow.
RUXAILAB is a User Experience (UX) and Artificial Intelligence research lab focused on open-source tools for remote usability evaluation, accessibility, multimodal UX methods, and adaptive interfaces.
We’re an international team of designers, developers, and researchers committed to collaboration, innovation, and making UX research more accessible.
Formerly known as Uramaki LAB, we rebranded to better reflect our mission as a “UX + AI Lab.”
- 2024 marked our first year participating in Google Summer of Code.
- We had 3 contributors working on foundational projects that combined user research, artificial intelligence, and UX methods.

- Eye Tracking Algorithm Optimization Based on Low-Resolution Cameras
- Implementation of Card Sorting Method on RUXAILAB
- Data Extraction for Sentiment Analysis from Usability Tests
- In 2025, 5 contributors joined RUXAILAB through GSoC.
- The projects expanded upon the foundations from 2024, introducing automation, AI integration, and deeper platform optimizations.
