👋 Hi, I'm Sergio (xergioalex)

I'm a developer from Pereira, Colombia 🇨🇴 with 15+ years building digital
products — from early-stage startups to YC-backed SaaS. I'm the
CTO & co-founder of DailyBot (Y Combinator S21),
and these days I spend most of my time at the intersection of software,
AI agents, and community.

My approach is simple: build, ship, share. I solve my own problems with
code, then open-source the solutions so they can help someone else too.

🛠️ What I'm working on

• AI-agent open source — I build tooling that lets coding agents do real work:
  the DeepWorkPlan skill and
  website (a spec-driven
  approach to running long, resumable tasks with AI agents), plus the DailyBot
  CLI and
  agent-skill that let humans and
  agents share progress and collaborate as a team.
• Open-source libraries like universal-emoji-parser
  and search-text-highlight — small, focused
  npm packages that quietly run in other people's projects.
• Kotlin Multiplatform & mobile experiments — icebreaker dynamics, a tap-duel
  game, and an LLM voice-chat app.
• Pereira Tech Talks — a tech community I founded
  in 2017 that has hosted 100+ events, 140+ talks, and 4,000+ attendees.
• xergioalex.com — my blog (EN/ES) with 90+ posts
  across 9 series where I write about tech, my journey, and what I learn building —
  AI agents, mobile development, software architecture, AEO, and algorithmic trading.

✍️ The writing

A big part of what I do — and a big part of why I'm asking for sponsorship — is
writing in-depth, free technical content in English and Spanish. Not quick
takes: long, researched pieces and multi-part series that I publish openly, with
no paywall.
