ALBUQUERQUE, APRIL 30, 2025—Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham’s line-item veto on page 94 of the state budget, which eliminated the requirement that major healthcare changes receive legislative approval, is a dangerous move that threatens the future of New Mexico’s healthcare system. This veto clears the path for the Governor to unilaterally expand taxpayer-funded healthcare benefits to illegal immigrants—without input from the Legislature or the public. If this happens, New Mexico could follow the disastrous model of Minnesota, where illegal immigrant healthcare enrollment exploded costs from $196 million to $550 million, all shouldered by state taxpayers. The consequences for New Mexico would be devastating. Our already-strained Medicaid system, which serves our most vulnerable citizens—including low-income families, children, seniors, and veterans—would face overwhelming new pressure. Even worse, expanding full benefits to illegal immigrants could violate federal Medicaid rules and risk losing federal matching funds that currently support healthcare for thousands of New Mexicans. “We must take care of New Mexicans first,” said Chairwoman Amy Barela of the Republican Party of New Mexico. “Our tax dollars must prioritize the needs of those who are here legally, who work hard, serve our country, and contribute to our communities. The Governor’s action could jeopardize healthcare access for every New Mexican who relies on Medicaid today.” Our veterans, our rural hospitals, and our working families already struggle to get the care they deserve. Diverting limited healthcare resources to illegal immigrants would be an unforgivable betrayal of the people of New Mexico. Expanding healthcare to illegal immigrants at the expense of our own citizens is reckless, unsustainable, and fundamentally wrong. The Republican Party of New Mexico demands that legislative leaders stand up, restore oversight, and protect New Mexico families before it’s too late. Our future depends on it.

California May Make Illegals Eligible For $150,000 Home Loans

Whenever I see a story such as the one below, the more glad I am that I moved out of the People's Republic of Commiefornia. 

The state's taxpayers may be footing the bill that would make illegal aliens eligible for state-supported home loans up to $150,000 if the pending legislation passes the legislature and signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom.  

According to Fox News (via AOL):

Lawmakers in California could soon make the Golden State the first in the country to make undocumented immigrants eligible for up to $150,000 in state-supported home loans.

The Democratic supermajority in the California state legislature is likely to pass a measure this week that would make undocumented immigrants eligible for the "California Dream for All" loan program, a state-funded program that provides 20% in down payment assistance up to $150,000, according to a report for Politico.

Participants in the program must be first-time homebuyers, and at least one must be a first-generation homebuyer, while income levels must be below certain limits depending on the county where the recipient lives.

This is what you get when you have a one-party state government comprised of leftists.

Illegal Aliens Have Second Amendment Rights, Judge Rules

The world is getting crazier and crazier.

A judge appointed by Barack Obama in Illinois ruled that illegal aliens have Second Amendment rights like U.S. Citizens. 

Since we all have to go through a background check when purchasing a firearm, how will illegals be checked for criminal histories? Does our system have access to criminal records of foreign countries?

Newsweek reported:

A judge this month dropped gun charges against an illegal migrant in Illinois, sparking further debate about the rights associated with the Second Amendment.

U.S. District Court Judge Sharon Coleman of the Northern District of Illinois referenced lower court rulings in dismissing firearm possession charges against Heriberto Carbajal-Flores, who was illegally or unlawfully in the United States when he possessed a handgun in the Little Village neighborhood of Chicago on June 1, 2020.

"The Court finds that Carbajal-Flores' criminal record, containing no improper use of a weapon, as well as the non-violent circumstances of his arrest do not support a finding that he poses a risk to public safety such that he cannot be trusted to use a weapon responsibly and should be deprived of his Second Amendment right to bear arms in self-defense," Coleman, who was appointed under President Barack Obama, wrote in her eight-page ruling filed March 8.

Illegal aliens will get interest-free home mortgage loans under a new California bill.

Democrat assemblymember Joaquin Arambula (Fresno) recently introduced Assembly Bill 1840 to extend a first-time homebuyer loan program to illegal aliens.

If the bill becomes law, illegal aliens will be eligible for a new program that offers a loan worth 20% of the purchase price of the residential property. There are no monthly payments and no interest accrues on the loan. Rather, the loan is paid back when the borrower refinances or sells the property. The borrower will have to pay back the original loan plus a 20% increase in the value of the property.

I guess the Democrats haven't learned any lessons from the mortgage meltdown of 2008.

Despite SCOTUS Ruling, Gov. Abbott Kicks Biden's Nuts

In a move that can only be interpreted as a "swift kick to His Fraudulency's nuts", Texas Gov. Greg Abbott says he has constitutional authority to repel invasions of illegal aliens.

Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott doubled down Wednesday on the state’s “constitutional right to self-defense” days after the Supreme Court ordered the Texas National Guard to remove barbed wire to keep illegal migrants out.

The Supreme Court, in a 5-4 decision Monday, agreed to vacate an injunction that temporarily blocked Border Patrol from cutting wire Texas had placed along the border. Texas authorities appeared to ignore the ruling, with a video circulating on social media showing authorities setting up razor wire for the border in Eagle Pass, Texas.

The case made its way to the high court after the Biden Administration sued.

Abbott doubled down on the state’s response, invoking the Founding Fathers. 

“The federal government has broken the compact between the United States and the States. The Executive Branch of the United States has a constitutional duty to enforce federal laws protecting States, including immigration laws on the books right now,” Abbott said in a statement. “President Biden has ignored Texas’s demand that he perform his constitutional duties.”

“James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, and the other visionaries who wrote the U.S. Constitution foresaw that States should not be left to the mercy of a lawless president who does nothing to stop external threats like cartels smuggling millions of illegal immigrants across the border,” Abbott continued, citing Article IV Section 4 which says the federal government “shall protect each [State] against invasion” and Article I, Section 10, Clause 3 which says the states have a “sovereign interest in protecting their borders.”

“The failure of the Biden Administration to fulfill the duties imposed by Article IV, § 4 has triggered Article I, § 10, Clause 3, which reserves to this State the right of self-defense. For these reasons, I have already declared an invasion under Article I, § 10, Clause 3 to invoke Texas’s constitutional authority to defend and protect itself. That authority is the supreme law of the land and supersedes any federal statutes to the contrary. The Texas National Guard, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and other Texas personnel are acting on that authority, as well as state law, to secure the Texas border.”

SCOTUS: Texas Can’t Block Federal Agents From Border

The U.S. Supreme Court upheld a long-standing rule that the federal government has sole authority to enforce border protection laws.

Unfortunately, the federal government, under His Fraudulency Joe Biden, is not enforcing the border. They are allowing thousands of illegal aliens to flood into the country.

The Texas Tribune reported:

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday ordered Texas to allow federal border agents access to the state’s border with Mexico, where Texas officials have deployed miles of concertina wire.

The order did not explain justices’ decisions. For now, it effectively upholds longstanding court rulings that the Constitution gives the federal government sole responsibility for border security.

In October of last year, Texas sued the federal government after Border Patrol agents cut some of the wire strung along the Rio Grande, arguing the Department of Homeland Security destroyed the state’s property and interfered in Texas’ border security efforts.

The 5-4 order from the Supreme Court vacated a previous injunction from the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that prevented Border Patrol agents from cutting the concertina wire.

The ruling would have been fine if the court ordered the Biden Administration to enforce border security. But they didn't.

California To Give Medi-Cal Coverage To All Illegals

It is no small wonder why there's an exodus of Californians fleeing the state. 

The following is sure to make the already strained taxpayers not very happy.

For the first time, undocumented immigrants of all ages will qualify for Medi-Cal, California’s version of the federal government’s Medicaid program for low-income people.

The new guidelines will make California the only state to fund comprehensive health care for undocumented immigrants beginning Jan.1, 2024.

 “This historic investment speaks to California’s commitment to health care as a human right,” Sen. María Elena Durazo (D-Los Angeles) said in a statement.

Gov. Gavin Newsom announced in May that a new budget deal with the Legislature included Medi-Cal expansion that would cover more undocumented adults.

The program expansion is expected to provide health coverage for about 700,000 undocumented residents between the ages of 26 and 49, according to Sen. Durazo.

The latest Medi-Cal expansion is expected to cost $2.6 billion annually.

How would you like it if the Department of the Interior/National Park Service were to agree with the Biden Administration to house illegal immigrants in Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone or Great Smoky Mountains National Parks? 

Well, things haven't come to that... yet! But the Biden Administration already has agreed to house illegal immigrants in property managed by the Department of the Interior/National Park Service in New York.

Fox News reported:

FIRST ON FOX: House Republican leaders are opening a probe into the White House over its decision to bypass environmental regulations when green-lighting a plan to house migrants on public land in New York.

In a letter sent Monday to White House Council on Environmental Quality Chairwoman Brenda Mallory, House Natural Resources Committee Chairman Bruce Westerman, R-Ark., and Rep. Paul Gosar, R-Ariz., the top GOP member of the panel's oversight subcommittee, warned that the federal government appeared to steamroll environmental concerns when it leased public property for migrant housing.

"Regardless of personal or political beliefs on immigration or migrant policy, there is common ground in keeping our national parks – some of America’s most treasured spaces – out of the debate," they wrote to Mallory. "All national parks, whether in rural or urban areas, exist for visitors to experience wonder, to recreate and find joy, or to simply learn more about the great history of our nation."

"However, national parks are not a place to house people, temporarily or permanently, who lack shelter," Westerman and Gosar continued in the letter obtained by Fox News Digital.

In September, amid the ongoing migrant surge at the southern border and related influx in New York City, the Department of the Interior (DOI) agreed to lease property in Gateway National Recreation Area's Floyd Bennett Field – property managed by the National Park Service – to the local government. Officials then constructed temporary housing structures on the land, which is located in New York's Brooklyn borough along the shore of Jamaica Bay.

Texas Real Estate Developer Creating Cartel City

This is a weird story. It is weird that it hasn't been stopped.

A Texas developer is giving illegal aliens home loans to create their own community about sixty square miles in size.

According to Headline USA:

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) A Texas land developer has decided to create a city of illegal immigrants by giving out easy home loans to new foreigners, the Daily Wire reported.

The sprawling settlement of Colony Ridge is located north of Houston, consuming over 60 square miles of land. Its population—most of whom are presumed to be illegal immigrants—is already estimated to be somewhere between 50,000 and 75,000.

The “town” is reportedly filled with stray dogs, dilapidated buildings, half-finished construction and full-time tent campers.

Colony Ridge is the brainchild of developer William “Trey” Harris, who is using what most would consider to be predatory lending practices that exploit the vulnerability and desperation of newly arrived illegals looking for a place to live.

Murderer of 5 Hondurans Deported 4 Times

There's an $80,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the Mexican national who killed five Honduran nationals in Cleveland, Texas last Friday.

CLEVELAND, Texas — Immigration officers deported the Mexican man wanted in connection to Friday night’s alleged murder of five Honduran nationals on three occasions, according to the Texas sheriff leading the investigation. The most recent removal came in 2016.

UPDATE 5/1/23 11:30 a.m.: U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials provided updated information on the suspected killer of five Honduran migrants. Officials report that an immigration judge first ordered Francisco Oropeza Perez-Torres, 38, to be removed from the United States on March 19, 2009. ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations officers deported the migrant to Mexico later that month.

Subsequent to this, Oropeza illegally re-entered the U.S. and was removed, once again, in September 2009. He was removed two more times in January 2012 and July 2016. 

In January 2012, a Texas court in Montgomery County (which neighbors San Jacinto County where the alleged murders took place) convicted the Mexican national for driving while intoxicated. The court sentenced him to an unreported period of incarceration.

FBI Special Agent in Charge James Smith announced they are assisting in the investigation and manhunt. They cautioned that Oropeza is considered to be armed and a danger to the community.

“We’re still out there trying to find this individual,” Smith said. “We consider him armed and dangerous and we’re not going to stop until we actually arrest him and bring him into custody.”

The Daily Caller reported that the suspect may have been arrested.

Authorities arrested the man believed to be responsible for the killing of five people, including an eight-year-old boy in Cleveland, Texas, Friday, NBC News reported late Tuesday.

San Jacinto County District Attorney Todd Dillon said a man believed to be Francisco Oropesa, 38, was arrested in Cut and Shoot, Texas, according to NBC. Police are still waiting to confirm the identity of the individual, who was put in Montgomery County Jail and charged with first-degree murder.

New Mexico Congresswoman Yvette Herrell has introduced the Repaying The Rural Borderlands Act which would compensate citizens along the U.S.-Mexico border who have been victimized by acts of illegal aliens.

Rep. Herrell Tweeted:

In my district, illegal immigrants have torn down fences, destroyed crops, broken irrigation pipes, killed cattle, stolen vehicles, and even kidnapped ranch employees. 

This week I introduced the Repaying the Rural Borderlands Act.

Unlike her predecessor, Herrell is actually working for New Mexico. 

Biden Blames HIS Border Crisis On Trump Administration

His Fraudulency Joe Biden is either delusional, senile, dishonest or a combination of all three.

WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden blamed the Trump administration for ongoing problems at the U.S.-Mexico border, citing its failure to cooperate and share critical information during the presidential transition period.

In an exclusive interview that aired Friday with "TODAY" show co-anchor Craig Melvin, Biden said his administration inherited “one god-awful mess at the border” from former President Donald Trump. He said it’s the result of “the failure to have a real transition — cooperation from the last administration, like every other administration has done.”

After the November election, Biden said that he had dispatched his transition team to meet with the officials leading the major departments across the government.

In any case, this is definitely high on the bullshit meter.
