Do you sell new and/or used pallet racking?
Yes, we sell both. We have an inventory of mostly used products as well as some of the most popular components and sizes in new. Normally we order new components from our manufacture on a project basis.
Do you have Teardrop Style pallet racking in stock right now?
We always have Teardrop Style in stock. If we don’t have the size you need, we can probably locate it.
Do you buy used pallet racking and equipment?
Yes, we do buy used certain equipment, especially pallet racking, shelving, and mezzanine. You can contact us for an offer, which will be based on style, condition, size and quantity.
What is wire decking?
Wire decking is a common pallet racking component that provides additional support to pallets. It essentially creates a shelf surface by spanning across two beams with its wire mesh. The meshing is strengthened by channels welded underneath.
Can you install my equipment while my warehouse is operating?
Yes, in most cases we can install in an operating warehouse. We take precautions to prevent our technicians from interfering with your material handlers, and we also expect you to do the same for our technicians.
Can you provide your own lift equipment for installation projects?
Yes, we typically rent forklifts and scissor lifts for installation projects. Depending on the project, we may deliver our own equipment.
How far will we travel for services?
Depending on the project, we will travel anywhere within the United States.
Do you deliver?
Yes, we deliver within a 100 mile radius of Milwaukee. For orders outside of that radius, or for large orders, we can arrange freight.
Do you give consultations on how to set up my warehouse?
Yes, if you are planning to purchase materials or services we can send a knowledgeable consultants to your facility for a free consultation. From there we can even develop a warehouse layout. Fees for design development vary by scope. Ask about free layouts for qualifying projects.
Do you do safety inspections for racking?
Yes, we perform safety inspections. Most often these inspections uncover damaged pallet racking uprights, but they can also focus on beam capacity, floor anchoring, and general configuration.
How often should I be inspecting my pallet racking?
We recommend inspecting your racking once per quarter and setting up a damage reporting system with your material handlers.
Do you design custom storage systems?
Yes, we are able to design custom systems such as mezzanines and pick modules?
Can you provide engineering and permitting?
Yes, we can arrange engineering and permitting for applicable projects.
Why does the weight of my inventory matter?
Pallet racking and other storage systems and limited strength capacity that is recommended by manufacturers. We need to know the weight of your inventory to select the components that will safely support it.
What is the difference between Teardrop style and Newstyle pallet racking?
Teardrop is the most common racking style in the United States. Teardrop uprights have rounded holes (like upside down teardrops). Newtstyle is a related style, but the uprights have more rectangular and narrow holes. Newstyle beams are compatible with Teardrop uprights, but Teardrop beams are not compatible with Newstyle uprights.
Does all my racking really need to be the same style?
No, however there are certain benefits to using one syles of racking. Mainly, it is much easier to source a single type of racking when you need to expand. All of your equipment will be interchangeable, so reconfiguration will be much easier than if you need to match multiple styles and sizes to specific locations.
Do I need column protectors?
Column protectors can be very beneficial, but are not necessary for all applications. They are most appropriate in areas of high traffic or where components are more vulnerable to impact.
Can racking be installed on something other than concrete?
Pallet racking is designed to be supported by concrete, and typically should be anchored. Alternate floors need to be considered case-by-case.
