Breakages and abusive telephone calls
Uk to Spain May 2025 . Booking the move was very easy and I was helped by office staff with how to fill paperwork for customs .the moving staff were efficient and friendly . I did a walk through at the start so they could see where all items were but in-fact they forgot the larder so had to return another day to collect that stuff . The biggest problem came with the people who delivered into my storage room ( I presumed this was a driver and man from Ambrose as was not told any different) but in-fact it was a local agent called Jules McCabe) My items were literally thrown in! When I advised Ambrose that I would have to pay other people to come and take everything out and then repack I had a abusive call from Jules (I had sent photo evidence of the ‘packing’) I was told he would come to look at it but as a lone female I did not feel safe being with such an abusive person. I had to pay €100 for 2 other men to empty the storage and we found numerous cardboard and plastic boxes broken, my seed propagator broken. So I had to replace all the boxes and payment to the two men myself (so far have been unable to replace the seed propagated here in Spain. When I informed Ambrose they just didn’t seem to care that I had to pay now €155 extra because of their agents. My contract was with Ambrose, I had no idea they used local agents. In a previous move to Spain over 10 years ago into storage once again, I had no breakages at all and it was a pleasure but Ambrose have turned out to be a bad choice and in all honesty I cannot recommend them. I have photographic evidence of the damage .
