We are genuinely sorry that you feel this way, as this is certainly not the experience we aim to provide.

That said, we cannot agree with many of the statements made in your review because they do not reflect what actually happened during your move.

From the beginning to the end of the relocation, we worked strictly in accordance with the signed contract, the agreed Summary of Service, and our Terms & Conditions. No charges were added at random. Any additional costs related only to services and materials that were requested after the original quotation had been agreed.

One of the main issues during your move was the expectation that our crew would provide moving blankets and use them to wrap your furniture. As clearly stated in the documents you received before booking, customers who choose not to purchase our professional packing service are responsible for preparing and protecting their own belongings for transport. Our standard transport vehicles do not carry moving blankets, and blanket wrapping is not included unless specifically booked. These points are clearly explained in our contract.

Although these services were not included, our team still tried to help where possible. However, additional labour and materials inevitably result in additional costs. We cannot provide services outside the agreed contract free of charge.

We also completely reject the suggestion that your belongings were "held hostage" or that you were "blackmailed." We simply applied the payment terms that were agreed before the move took place. Requesting payment for agreed services before completing delivery is standard practice throughout the removals industry.

Regarding the use of subcontractors and shuttle vehicles, this is a normal part of international removals whenever access restrictions or operational requirements make it necessary. It does not reduce the quality of the service, and it was entirely consistent with the agreement between us.

We are pleased that your belongings arrived safely at their destination. As we understand it, your dissatisfaction relates to the charges for additional services requested during the move rather than any failure to transport your goods safely.

What is particularly disappointing is that, after we did our best to accommodate requests beyond the agreed scope of work, we are now being accused of misconduct for refusing to provide those additional services free of charge. We always try to help our customers where we can, but we must also treat every customer fairly and apply the same contractual terms to everyone.

We respect your right to leave a review, but we also have a responsibility to correct statements that we believe are inaccurate. We remain confident that our signed agreement, correspondence, photographs, and operational records accurately reflect the service that was provided.

We genuinely regret that this move ended with a disagreement and wish you all the best in your new home.

After conducting a thorough review of our booking system, CRM records, transport schedules, and delivery documentation, we have been unable to identify any customer or shipment matching the name or circumstances described in your review.

Furthermore, several of the statements made do not reflect how JCL Removals operates.

Like many international removal companies, we occasionally work with carefully selected professional partners. However, all services are performed under our operating procedures, contractual requirements, and quality standards.

Most importantly, we would like to clarify that a single operative is never assigned to carry out an international removal involving heavy furniture. Such a practice would be in direct breach of our Health & Safety procedures, manual handling policies, and operational standards. This type of service has never been, and never will be, permitted by our company.

We also have no record of any customer incurring storage charges as a result of delays caused by JCL Removals, nor do we have any record of a complaint matching the events described.

Regarding pricing, our quotations clearly define the agreed scope of work. Any additional charges can only arise where the customer requests extra services or where circumstances outside the original agreed scope require the customer's prior knowledge and approval. We do not apply arbitrary or unexpected charges after a booking has been confirmed.

As we have been unable to identify any corresponding booking or shipment, we have already asked Trustpilot to verify that this review relates to JCL Removals. To date, no information or evidence has been provided to either Trustpilot or ourselves that would enable this review to be linked to our company or investigated further.

If this review genuinely relates to JCL Removals, we invite the reviewer to contact us directly and provide a booking reference, invoice number, collection and delivery details, or any other information that would allow us to investigate the matter thoroughly.

We welcome all genuine customer feedback and are always willing to resolve legitimate concerns professionally. However, we also have a responsibility to protect our reputation where a review cannot be verified and appears not to relate to any service provided by our company.
