If I could score zero I would. This company is absolutely shambles. We put our house up for sale with the Telford branch, didn’t hear a thing from anyone for the first 3 weeks of it being on the market, we had to call them. The marketing was non existent, just put on Rightmove, communication was non existent unless we contacted them. Viewings were extremely low due to no marketing being completed.
The final straw with this company was when Lisa the branch manager lied to my husband. Absolutely shocking behaviour.
After moving our house to a professional estate agent we sold within 7 days for full asking price.
If you want to sell your house AVOID DB ROBERTS

Claire is very knowledgeable about the marker and offers information about that. She knows how to present a property and also knows who is the landlord and what they expect from future tenants. Great service.

Nicole at DB Roberts made the whole letting process really straightforward. She communicated clearly and honestly throughout, found suitable applicants very quickly, and was professional, friendly, and efficient from start to finish.

Our experience with DB Roberts was very disappointing to say the least. Alarm bells started ringing when the valuers insisted on marketing the property too high; I gave the benefit of the doubt with this but it quickly became evident that the price was too high when I didn't have a single viewing for a month. Once I reduced the property price, I sold only for the buyer to pull out after 6 weeks. The buyer pulled out via email and DB Roberts failed to communicate this with us for a number of days.

Once the house was put back on the market; we received some viewings. However, each time DB Roberts told us the viewers were proceedable; we later found out they were not! The final straw was when DB Roberts booked in a couple to look round our property; initially telling me they were proceedable and had sold their property? When chatting to the couple, they said they were homeless and didn't know what an agreement in principle was.

We felt we were constantly being lied to all the time with DB Roberts. Needless to say, we marketed the property with another agent who sold it in 5 days and eventually completed.

I would NOT recommended DB Roberts to anyone!

Dealing with Bethany has always been a pleasure, totally efficient and responds very quickly to any issues I have encountered.

At the beginning, the service was fine and communication was decent. However, as the sale progressed and there was limited interest, they were initially reluctant to reduce the asking price. Only later, as the contract period was coming to an end, did they start actively looking for buyers.

They also recommend AVRillo solicitors, who in my experience were very poor and had several unexpected or hidden costs, so I would not personally recommend that route.

When the survey came back lower than the agreed sale price, the situation became less straightforward and felt unnecessarily complicated at times by the agent.

Eventually, the property did sell for the original price through them, but in the later stages I had to chase most updates myself. Communication became weak, and I often had to call to find out basic progress updates. Contact with my solicitor was also not easy, which added further stress to the process.

Overall, an acceptable service at the start, but weaker support and communication in the later stages of the sale.

DBR are a great help in managing my property. They provide intellectual insight and advice, as well as finding good tenants and carrying out all the necessary checks. They also respond swiftly to any questions or enquiries l may have. Happy to recommend their services.
