Take the fit test for your earplugs
Do your custom earplugs still seal the way they did on day one? It takes about twenty seconds. You will need the access code Audinc gave you, your own earplugs and a quiet room.
What the test checks
You hear a series of tones in each ear. From what you pick up and what you miss, the test works out whether the seal still holds.
When to run it
After a few months of wear, following a noticeable change in weight, or as soon as more sound seems to be getting through than usual.
What you get out of it
When air leaks past the plug, attenuation drops sharply. The test flags that, so you can come in for a check or a fresh impression in time.
