Privacy policy

How Audinc handles your personal data — clear, friendly and without small print.

Last updated · August 1, 2026

At Audinc, everything revolves around protection. Usually that means your ears — but we are just as careful with your personal data. This page explains which details we ask for, why we need them, and what we do and above all do not do with them. No small print, no legal mumbling. Just a clear story.

Questions after reading? Email us at [email protected]. We are happy to listen to you. Listening in is something else entirely.

Who are we?

Audinc consists of two companies working closely together:

  • Audinc Netherlands B.V., based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce 88504301) — responsible for the webshop, sales and customer service.
  • Audinc International Ltd, based in Paphos, Cyprus — home to our own lab, where we make your products to measure.

Together they make sure your data is handled properly, as described in this policy. This policy applies to audinc.nl, audinc.be, audinc.de and audinc.eu.

Impressions and 3D scans of your ears

For custom earplugs we take an impression or 3D scan of your ears. That makes sense, because no two ears are alike — not even your left and your right.

We use your scan solely to make your products, in our own lab in Cyprus. So your data stays within the EU — just with a little more sunshine. We keep your impression or scan for two years, so you do not have to sit in the chair again for your next pair. We do not share it with anyone. Your ears remain yours.

Ordering in the webshop

If you order something from us, we need a few things from you. Not because we are curious, but because otherwise your order has nowhere to go.

  • Your name — handy for the invoice. And then we know how to address you.
  • Your address — so your order does not land on your neighbour’s doormat.
  • Your email address — this is where your order confirmation, invoice and track & trace go.
  • Your phone number — we only call or message you when it is genuinely needed for your order. Nobody appreciates quiet more than we do.
  • Your payment details — payment runs through the secure environment of our payment partner. We only see your account number if we are refunding you.

Booking an appointment

Coming in to have impressions taken? You book your appointment through our online scheduling system (Trafft). For that we ask for your name, email address and phone number, plus the location and time that suits you. That way we know exactly when to have the chair ready.

Newsletter and contact

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your name and email address to keep you up to date on new products and offers. We only do that with your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time, with one click at the bottom of every email. We will not make a fuss about it.

Sending us an email or filling in the contact form? Then we keep your message for as long as we need it to help you properly.

Cookies

Cookies make no sound, but we would still like to tell you what they do. They are small text files placed on your device.

  • Functional cookies keep the site working — think of your shopping basket and language choice. We always place these.
  • Statistics help us understand how visitors use the site, so we can make it a little better every day. This data is anonymised.
  • Marketing cookies are only placed if you give your consent.

Rather not have cookies? You can refuse or delete them through your browser settings. Some parts of the site may then work a little less smoothly.

Who we work with

We never sell or rent out your data to others. Full stop. We do call on a few parties so we can do our work properly:

  • our delivery partners, who bring your order to your door;
  • our payment partner, who handles your payment securely;
  • our scheduling system and our email tool;
  • our accountant and hosting provider.

With all of these parties we have made clear agreements about the security of your data, laid down in a data processing agreement. They may only use your data for the purpose for which we share it. And where the law requires it — the tax authorities, for instance — we cooperate properly.

How long we keep your data

No longer than necessary. Specifically:

  • Invoices and order details: 7 years, because the tax authorities require it of us.
  • Impressions and scans of your ears: 2 years, in case you would like a new pair.
  • Newsletter details: until you unsubscribe.
  • Customer service contact: for as long as it takes to resolve your question fully.

Your rights

It is and remains your data. So you may always:

  • see which data we hold about you;
  • have it corrected or completed;
  • have it deleted, as far as the law allows;
  • withdraw your consent;
  • object to a processing activity, or have it restricted;
  • take your data to another party (data portability).

Email your request to [email protected] — no need to raise your voice. We respond within 30 days. Not happy with how we handle your data? Then you can lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country. But naturally we would rather hear it from you first.

Security

We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures: encrypted connections, secured systems and access only for those who genuinely need it. So you sleep as soundly as you do with your SleepzZ in.

Spotted something that is not right, or think you have found a vulnerability? Email us straight away at [email protected]. We will be grateful.

Changes

Sometimes we update this policy, for instance when we start doing something new or when the law changes. You will always find the current version on this page. This version dates from 1 August 2026.
