Does anyone else remember warez sites from the late 1990s/early 2000s? The sorts of sites that promised a cracked version of Adobe Photoshop or Microsoft Office or some popular video game in large, blinking blue letters on a jaundiced background surrounded by animated GIFs of pixel art flames and those rainbow horizontal rules? If you scrolled down you'd find there were five, six, ten links all promising to lead you to what you were looking for, and it was unclear which link would work. Some took you to porn sites, or worse. Others threw up a cascade of Javascript alerts announcing you'd won the lottery or just contracted a computer virus. Some demanded you enter your email address to be mailed a special link to the cracked software or whatever. One in twenty times you might find what you were looking for. The entire experience was surreal and disorienting and no matter how many times you went through it you came out feeling the same kind of weird, like if you'd gone to an all-night pizza shop in a half-abandoned mall and ordered a cheesecake. Anyone remember those sites?

I feel like the entire web is this way now except there's more contemporary, professional graphic design and what you are looking for is reliable information.
