At least in the way I use computers as a low vision person, pop-ups are extraordinarily anti-accessibility. Yes, even tooltips and alt-hovertext, depending on how they're done. Some websites are close to unusable because of these things.

So, going forward, Auto Encrypt¹, Kitten², and Catalyst³ will be seamlessly (automatically; with zero config) supporting Web Numbers⁴ (IPv4, IPv6), and, of course, should you want to point one at your server for old time’s sake, legacy domain names too.

I still have some dev to do on this on the Kitten side of things but I’m hugely excited about being able to remove another centralised component – DNS – from the Small Web⁵ (peer-to-peer, personal web) as we inch nearer to making it available this year to everyday people who use technology as an everyday thing.

The article from "Software Engineering Standard" opened in the Dillo browser. Surprisingly, but it uses full width of browser window, without ugly unused space on the sides of tiny column of text.

I was searching for some information about how to setup HTTPS inside the local network, with internal DNS server, so the certbot and Letsencrypt weren't help, since they are don't have access to this network. And I found this gem, see screenshots.

I remember a friend who worked at a company that made a popular browser, and complained that I didn't have any "skin in the game" when I constantly complained about the browser the company was building.

Great guy, but I could not accept "be quiet, you are not part of this" when I am a browser user, web user, former-web developer (1995-2010) and just a person who gives a shit about privacy, security, and enshittification in general.

Da wäre bcrypt oder scrypt Format sicherer, doch laut @owasp ist für Webanwendungen doch Argon2 zu bevorzugen. Nicht weil es moderner ist, sondern genau dafür konzipiert wurde. Klar muss dies entsprechend konfiguriert werden. Die anderen zwei sind nicht veraltet aber eher weniger die akt Technik.
