Also who decided that on (as predicted by James Rolfe) should be even legal?

Seriously, everytime someone pays legitimately for content, they get treated worse than someone pirating it!

I have come to the realization that Bluesky is too normy for my taste. If corporations have taken over FB and propaganda has taken over X then it's reasonable to say that the fringe of normies still hangout on BlueSky - the same people that talk a lot about little things, but make few big ideas work to be possible. Long live now into our future! I will never ever force or on any server I ever run here.

this explains so much about recent ads i’ve seen on :

the company in charge of the blocks in movie theaters concocted a competition for the best AI short film. the winner would be shown during that ad time.

i’ve been spooked into uncanny valley territory with ads for betting & crypto companies. there’s one betting ad with a Black woman that am almost certain is all AI. it’s the skin & voice.

anyways, ads aren't regulated. am getting the feeling many are now .

has lost their ground and is now in a free fall into a sinkhole. I doubt they'll ever get out if this again unless they do a 180-turn within the coming days. Mozilla has lost a lot of trust and credibility over the last couple of years. This accelerates that distrust even more.

              blog.mozilla.org/en/firefox/up

It looks promising, until you hit the last paragraph (my highlight)

In order to make Firefox commercially viable, there are a number of places where we collect and share some data with our partners, including our optional ads on New Tab and providing sponsored suggestions in the search bar. We set all of this out in our privacy notice. Whenever we share data with our partners, we put a lot of work into making sure that the data that we share is stripped of potentially identifying information, or shared only in the aggregate, or is put through our privacy preserving technologies (like OHTTP).

In my book, that's indirectly selling data.

              Goodbye, .

Both browsers have @privacybadger installed, and both enjoy network-based DNS filtering from .

On Vivaldi, I have the most strict blocking and filtering enforced that I can have. In Chrome, the only thing I changed from the out-of-the-box defaults were relatively new Ad Privacy settings (support.google.com/chrome/answ)(all disabled).

Interestingly, Cover Your Tracks seems to detect that Google Chrome shares FEWER unique identifiers than Vivaldi. Interesting.
