“But when I look at the Port of Prince Rupert, a lot of those issues don’t exist there because it is right on the ocean.”

Flatlanders...

Dear Premier Smith. Consult a map.

Prince Rupert is not “on the Ocean” any more than Calgary is “in the Rocky Mountains”.

It is around the same distance from Calgary to Banff as it is from Prince Rupert to the northwest tip of Haida Gwaii and you don’t want to do either in a storm.

P.S. and if you want to get technical, consult an official chart. No “pacific oceans” noted on that chart.

A Google map of British Columbia and the coast and islands shows a large number of text areas reading “not ocean” in red letters, all the way down the coast of British Columbia and into British Columbia itself. There is also a blue text with “pacific ocean” in the actual Pacific Ocean.

's "working papers" feel to me like a deliberate assault on scientific understanding. The latest Mystery AI Hype Theater 3000 episode taking apart OpenAI's recent one ("GPTs are GPTs": https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2040566319 ). The reasoning in this paper is so comically bad it's impossible for me to believe the people over there don't realize it's a mockery of scientific research.

Since stands to benefit from introducing FUD into computer science publishing, this raises some big red flags for me.
