Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 305 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many consumers frequently experience severe hardware and software defects, such as failing components, broken keyboards, and random system crashes happening shortly after initial purchase. Buyers also struggle deeply with unhelpful customer support, lengthy repair times, and great difficulty securing proper warranty assistance when attempting to resolve these persistent problems. Some people were satisfied with fast delivery times, reasonable pricing for high specifications, and helpful customer assistance for specific items purchased. A few reviewers even noted receiving positive interactions when dealing with efficient support agents for minor technical fixes.

terrible RMA/customer service experience

Their products are good however the customer service is horrendous. I’ve been dealing with an ongoing RMA situation for two months now. I was never given an address where to send my faulty motherboard and so I sent it back to the same location that provided me with the replacement motherboard. Keep in mind i had to pay to send the faulty part back to them instead of them providing a shipping label now they can’t find the part that I returned to them and was charged for not sending that part back within the time frame I was given even though I provided proof that it was delivered to them on time. Stay far away from ASUS

Purchasing a premium flagship laptop…

Purchasing a premium flagship laptop from ASUS Gulf has turned into the single worst customer support experience I have ever encountered.
Incompetent Repairs: After experiencing recurring GPU rendering pipeline failures and camera lockups, the unit underwent a complete motherboard replacement. The laptop was returned with the exact same hardware defects immediately active. Major component tear-downs resulted in zero resolution.
Ignoring Retailer Rejection: The official retailer, Sharaf DG, concurred that further repair cycles were non-viable and formally requested a Replacement Unit Request (RUR) authorization code. ASUS Gulf failed to issue this basic sign-off, effectively holding my device and my money hostage.
Zero Management Accountability: Service delays were repeatedly blamed on internal management travel, ignoring statutory deadlines and showing total disregard for the customer's professional schedule.
If you rely on your machine for serious work or gaming, be aware that ASUS Gulf’s after-sales support and regional warranty authorization are virtually non-existent when hardware fails. Avoid.

Appalling service, broken promises, and zero accountability. Avoid ASUS UK Store!

I am absolutely disgusted by the abysmal customer service and complete lack of professionalism from the ASUS UK Store.

I placed and fully paid for an order (ROG STRIX B860-I GAMING WIFI, £195.99) on September 10, 2026 (Order #AS21000092860, Invoice #000067082). For over a week, my order remained stuck in "Processing" without being dispatched.

Their support is a total joke. I sent official emails on September 14 and September 17—both were completely ignored. I have spent the last three days on the phone being repeatedly lied to by their agents, who kept promising "it will be dispatched today." Today, I called again, only to find out it STILL hadn't been shipped.

When I demanded an immediate cancellation and confirmation, the agent arrogantly and mockingly replied, "Yes, why not!?" as if this entire situation was a game.

ASUS is a massive global brand, but their UK online store operates like a shady, unreliable setup that takes your money and holds it hostage while feeding you endless excuses.

I have officially demanded a full refund. If my funds are not returned immediately, I will bypass their useless support entirely and initiate a formal chargeback dispute through my bank for non-fulfillment of services, alongside reporting them to trading standards.

Absolutely pathetic service. Save yourself the nightmare and buy elsewhere.

£1,500 laptop

£1,500 laptop, months of repairs and I eventually gave up

I bought a brand new ASUS laptop from the ASUS Store on 4 February 2026 for around £1,500.

On 17 March, when the laptop was not even two months old, a couple of small drops of liquid were accidentally spilled on it. The laptop was still working, but I didn’t want to take any risks, so I contacted ASUS and decided to send it in to be professionally cleaned and checked. The small amount of liquid involved was also documented in photographs taken during the repair process.

I sent the laptop to ASUS on 23 March and paid around £246 for the repair.

I finally received the laptop back on 8 May, after almost two months. This is where the real nightmare started.

The laptop came back in a condition I honestly did not expect from an official ASUS repair. The touchpad was not sitting or clicking properly, there were problems with screws, the cleaning had not been done properly and I could still see residue inside some of the USB-C/side ports. I also had problems with the external display connection when touching or moving the cable, and I found marks/damage that were not there before I sent the laptop away.

I photographed and recorded everything. ASUS asked me to send the laptop back again. I explained that I use the laptop for work and I could not risk waiting another two months to fix problems that appeared after their own repair. Eventually I was given the option to send it to a repair centre in the UK instead.

About a week later, I sent it away again. This time I received it back after roughly two weeks.

Unfortunately, it still wasn’t right. Some of the previous problems had not been properly resolved and there were other issues as well, including problems with screws, the display/connection, side ports and the keyboard lighting/function keys.

What made it even more frustrating was receiving documentation saying that the work had been completed and the laptop had been checked and was working correctly. That simply did not match the condition of the laptop I received.

ASUS then wanted me to send the laptop away for a THIRD repair.

At that point, I had lost confidence in the repair process and asked for another solution. ASUS told me to contact the store where I bought the laptop. I did that and sent the laptop to them for another inspection, hoping that finally something would be sorted out.

The store then told me that some of the problems could not be tested or dealt with by them and that I would have to go back to ASUS repair again.

So ASUS sent me to the store, and the store sent me back to ASUS.

After months of dealing with this, sending the laptop away multiple times, losing time when I needed it for work and constantly having to photograph, record and explain the same problems, I simply gave up.

I ended up accepting a £1,500 laptop with problems that it did not have before going through the repair process.

The most disappointing part is that I have photos and videos from before and after the repairs documenting the condition of the laptop and the problems. I tried to give ASUS multiple opportunities to resolve the situation, but eventually the amount of time, frustration and inconvenience became too much.

I paid £246 because I wanted my nearly new laptop professionally taken care of. Instead, months later, I was left wishing I had never sent it away in the first place.

A lot of wasted time, wasted money and frustration. Very disappointing experience with ASUS after-sales support.

I still have all the photographs, videos, repair documents and correspondence relating to this case. I also have three separate Google Drive folders containing photos and videos documenting the condition of the laptop at different stages — before the first repair, after it was returned to me, and before and after the second repair.

I can provide all of this to ASUS if they wish to investigate what happened.

Purchased this ASUS TUF Gaming F16 at…

Purchased this ASUS TUF Gaming F16 at Best Buy Folsom on June 23, 2026 for $1,782.86. Within about 3 months and roughly 10 uses, it developed four faults: the screen goes black for 5–10 seconds whenever the charger is unplugged, the WiFi adapter randomly disappears from the system, boot times are abnormally slow, and the battery drains quickly.

When I sought a refund, Best Buy refused, citing their 15-day return window, and directed me to ASUS. ASUS (case N2609013853-0001) first said a refund could be approved, then refused in writing, stating their warranty is repair-only and refunds "can only be done via your place of purchase" — pointing me back to Best Buy. Each company directs me to the other. I've now had to file a credit card dispute to recover my money. Buyers should know what post-purchase support actually looks like if the hardware fails.

Terrible Customer Service and Warranty Support

I bought a premium ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 and have now gone through two unsuccessful repair attempts, 30+ support ticket issuances/interactions, repeated escalations, weeks of reduced productivity, and recurring WHEA-Logger Event ID 1 “fatal hardware error” events after service.

ASUS is now asking me to send my primary professional workstation away for a third 10+ day service cycle, while still refusing to clearly state whether another recurrence after that would finally result in replacement rather than a fourth repair attempt.

Even after escalation to Corporate Customer Care, I have received generic responses, unanswered questions, conflicting information, and was even addressed by the wrong customer name.

As an independent consultant, this has had a real financial and professional impact. For a company selling premium laptops at premium prices, the after-sales support has been shockingly poor.

ASUS says it is committed to a “lasting” and “satisfactory” resolution. After months of this, I am still waiting to see one.

I would strongly caution anyone who relies on their laptop professionally to consider the quality of warranty support before buying ASUS.

I will update this review if ASUS ultimately provides a proper resolution.

I purchased a laptop directly from the ASUS UK

I purchased a laptop directly from the official ASUS UK website. It has been 10 days, and the experience has been a complete nightmare.Throughout this period, my funds were tied up, and I received absolutely no dispatch information. I sent multiple emails and made numerous phone calls, only to be completely ignored or brushed off with vague answers. Facing 10 days of zero transparency and communication caused me immense stress and frustration. After wasting my time and neglecting my queries for over a week, they now casually offer to cancel the order as if my time and the stress caused do not matter. This is completely unacceptable for a brand like ASUS. Their UK eShop operations and customer support are deeply flawed. I am extremely disappointed with this shocking lack of professionalism

Asus vivobook - piece of garbage

I bought an Asus vivobook in January 2024 and it broke 2 years later.
The battery also died.
I have never ever had a laptop that stopped working but this Asus laptop did.
I would never recommend this computer to anyone.
The keyboard also stopped working and if you pressed a key it didn’t work.
Spend your $800+ on a better computer because this one is a piece of garbage
AND if it’s 2 years old it’s no longer covered by a warranty

A complete waste of time and money.
First ... the computer would just randomly restart. Supper frustrating... but still usable at least . 0 help from Best Buy.... last time I will buy anything there.
Now the PC will no longer recognize my password to log in. Asked for the last 4 numbers on my phone ect. Can not send to reset password ... ASUS is complete garbage. Their customer service is... there isn't such a thing with that company.

Asus is a fraudulent company

You spend over $3000 for a unit to find out it’s defective and shutting down and freezing. My HP I spent $200 for it’s a notebook as well. It hasn’t caused any issues. As consumers we need to stand together to shut down Asus once and for All!

They don’t care about their customers they just want to rob people of their money!

(no). if its hard for you to think, I advice to add an "automatic updates checkbox" setting. you're welcome. other than that, laptop and app does the thing its supposed to do.

Worst laptop ever

Bought an ASUS Vivobook and it started misbehaving straight out of the box.

Firstly, some genius decided to put a calculator switch in the numbers pad precisely where your fingers rest when using keyboard. Result - calculator keeps switching on when typing, so you have to keep switching it off. Infuriating.

Secondly, the damn thing keeps dropping the connection every time I connect to the Net. This happens dozens of times every session.

ASUS response. There isn't one.

This is by far the worst laptop I have ever had the misfortune to own or use. Absolutely horrendous product.

Premium motherboard ruined by poor Bluetooth implementation

I own an ASUS ROG Strix B650E-I Gaming WiFi, a premium motherboard, and the Bluetooth experience with its MediaTek wireless module has been extremely disappointing.

I tested the same Bluetooth headphones with multiple transmitters. With an old Intel AX200 they worked for hours without audio artifacts. With a smartphone they remain stable even through several walls. Even a cheap generic USB Bluetooth dongle maintains a significantly better range and connection than the onboard MediaTek solution.

On the ASUS motherboard I experienced recurring audio artifacts, short interruptions and Bluetooth disconnects. Updating the ASUS/MediaTek driver improved the situation, but did not completely solve it.

On a motherboard in this price category I should not have to replace the internal wireless module with an Intel AX210 just to obtain the stability and compatibility I already had years ago with Intel AX200.

ASUS makes excellent motherboards in many respects, but using a wireless solution with this kind of real-world behavior on a premium ROG product is unacceptable.

ASUS Premium Care with on-site service

ASUS Premium Care with on-site service. RMA GBPUW90002 raised, notification received 1 September 2026 confirming the on-site team had been notified and would call shortly to book the engineer visit. Four days later there has been no call, no email and no engineer. The notification is sent from a no-reply address and contains no case contact, so there is no route to chase it. ASUS's own Premium Care documentation says on-site support is arranged generally by the end of the next business day. This is a business machine and it is still out of service.

Very poor warranty repair experience

Very poor warranty repair experience
I sent a nearly brand-new ASUS TUF laptop in for warranty service because the battery would not charge properly and the laptop would immediately shut down when unplugged.
ASUS replaced the battery, but their repair report also says they “could not replicate” the charging issue, which makes little sense considering they proceeded to replace the battery.
Worse, they factory-reimaged the computer, completely wiping my Windows installation and all of the setup and configuration I had already done. Replacing a battery does not inherently require wiping a customer's computer.
They also did not return the laptop in the original ASUS product box I shipped it in, so I no longer have my original box.
The replacement battery appears to work so far—the laptop can at least boot unplugged—but the overall service experience was unnecessarily destructive and poorly documented.
A simple battery replacement turned into having to set up my entire computer again from scratch. Very disappointing warranty service from ASUS.

Update: ASUS customer service contacted me directly to discuss my experience. They took the time to listen to my concerns, explain what happened, and made things right. I appreciate the follow-up and the effort they made to resolve the situation. My initial repair experience was frustrating, but I’m satisfied with how ASUS ultimately handled my complaint.
