Who didn't cry

when their LO got their 2 month shots? I didn't know what I would do but ended up laughing at her the whole time. Is that terrible? She has the funniest cry!

She cried during her shots and while I got her dressed and into her carseat. By the time we were out of the clinic, you wouldn't guess she had gotten her shots at all, she was so calm!

By an hour after, she was actually happy =)

She didn't even have any tylenol at all. Good girl!

  • JEALOUS!!  We were supposed to go in Monday but due to a snowstorm we got rescheduled to next week.  So now I get to worry for another week!  Fingers crossed my guyas do as well as she did.

  • oh! she's soo pretty! :) we do our baby's shots next week and i'm terrified! i just can't stand the idea that they are going to stick him with needles!

  • I didn't cry....DD didn't really cry that much.  She just let  out one big scream and then was over it!

  • LOL look at those cheeks!! she is not happy. i didn't cry. i was just waiting to be able to pick him up and try to calm him down. my ODS was there and he's trying to see if there was blood. goof.

and it was the same here, he was fine in the car.

  • I definitely think was worse for me than her. She doesn't take a pacifer well so I had planned to BF her after to get her calmed down, however after giving her her vitamin D drops and paci she was out cold. Poor thing ended up with a fever within 6 hours, was sleepy for the next 24 hours and really fussy for 72 hours.

  • I didnt cry.  I don't like watching them cry but it wasn't something I felt bad about since its for their own safety.  It was kind of funny how dramatic they were, but it was the holding them still that they didn't like.  The MA was so fast with the shots I doubt they even noticed.  As soon as she let them go they were fine, no more tears.  I was very proud of them, they handled it better than most adults I've given shots to.  Now watching my little one cry and writhe in pain from her reflux, that makes me cry.

  • I didn't.  This is DS # 2 so I have BTDT already.  Poor YDS.  I'm just not the softy I used to be.

  • Cora turned reddish purple with the second shot and started screaming and making a pouty lip face.  I didn't cry, but I couldn't wait to pick her up and comfort her.  I didn't like seeing her in pain.  Then later she was fussy I think b/c her legs were sore and she had a fever.

  • I just got back from the doctor with my LO, and she screamed louder than I've ever heard her scream but then she calmed down fairly quickly. I BF her in the office afterwards and she fell asleep in the car right away. We're home now and she was up for a bit, and now she fell asleep...seems to be doing fine so far, no fever yet.

    And P.S...I almost cried

  • I agree with a PP about it being a lot of drama.... I think that is why I laughed. Once I was holding her and she was whimpering I felt a lot more sorry for her and the pain.
