Ads Manager at ads.openai.com shows one campaign at a time and no export of ad-level daily rows. The CLI returns any level of the hierarchy with a date range and optional country/device segments as JSON in one call — ready to pipe, diff or schedule. Connect OpenAI Ads once in Cogny Solo and let your coding agent, or a scheduled loop, do the querying for you.

    04then a verdict

calls from a script. verdicts from cogny.

Every write is logged with who authorised it. Launches your agent makes (a new campaign, a new ad) become measured tickets automatically; for other changes, your agent offers to register them. Cogny measures each in your own data, three days later for ads and seven for content and SEO, and closes it as worked, partial, didn't work or inconclusive.

    • worked

Moved the number. Every measured win has a share card.

    • partial

      Some of it did.

    • didn't work

On the record anyway, so it isn't proposed again.

    • inconclusive

      Not enough data to call.

    How the loop works

    05questions

    questions.

    Is this for ChatGPT ads?
Yes — ChatGPT ads are OpenAI Ads. OpenAI named the product OpenAI Ads (ads.openai.com) and the ads render as sponsored chat cards inside ChatGPT, so the tool prefix here is OpenAI_Ads and it drives the same ad account you manage in Ads Manager.
Is this an official OpenAI Ads CLI?
No — it is the Cogny CLI calling the OpenAI Ads MCP over the cogny-mcp-proxy. You paste an Ads API key from ads.openai.com → Settings → API keys once in Cogny and then call every tool from Bash. The key is scoped to one ad account, so there is no account picker.
What units do budgets and spend use?
Budgets and bids are micros of the account currency (25000000 = 25.00). Insight metrics — spend, cpc, cpm — come back in plain currency units and ctr is a fraction, matching what the Advertiser API returns.
Can my coding agent use this without MCP setup?
Yes — that is the point. `npx @cogny/cli init --agent claude-code` issues a key, then `cogny tools call mcp__OpenAI_Ads__tool_get_insights --input ...` works from any shell. No /mcp wiring or restart needed.
