- Notice Notice on KAIST Clinic Chest X-ray Requirement for Spring 2026 Dormitory Admission This notice provides information on the clinic health examination (chest X-ray) requirements for students applying for Spring 2026 dormitory admission. Students who wish to undergo a clinic health examination for dormitory admission are advised to carefully review the information below. If you agree to the electronic consent for sharing personal information for dormitory admission when making a health check-up appointment on the KAIST Clinic website, your examination results will be automatically transferred to the KAIST Dormitory System (KDS) for your convenience. In addition, currently enrolled students are eligible for one free BASIC health check-up per year at the KAIST Clinic, which includes a chest X-ray.If you have already completed the BASIC health check-up during the current year, one chest X-ray examination will be provided free of charge. These examination results may be used for dormitory admission. [Main Schedule] - Health check-up deadline at KAIST Clinic : January 15, 2026 (Thu) - Due date for chest X-ray submission (submit to KDS) : January 21, 2026 (Wed) 18:00 * Validity of documents: Chest X-ray examinations conducted on or after August 21, 2025 (inclusive) are valid. ※ If you receive the health check-up at the KAIST Clinic on or after January 16, 2026 (Fri),the reading and system update may be delayed, and automatic transmission to the dormitory system may not be completed within the dormitory application period.Therefore, students are strongly advised to complete the examination by January 15, 2026 (Thu). ※ If you get the check-up at KAIST Clinic, please check on kds.kaist.ac.kr → [MyDorm] → “Medical Check-up Submission Status”, and if the result is not updated, please submit manually(clinic.kaist.ac.kr → download “Certificate of medical examination”⇒ Dormitory website(kds.kaist.ac.kr) → [Dormitory Application] → [Medical check-up Submit]). ※ If the automatic transmission date of the KAIST Clinic examination results is after the dormitory application deadline, please download the "Clinic Dormitory Admission Confirmation Form" and submit it directly on the dormitory website. [Important Notice] - KAIST Clinic allows only those who make reservation on the KAIST Clinic website(clinic.kaist.ac.kr) to get a health check-up (chest X-ray). ※ ONLY website reservation ※ - For the convenience of students, KDS(KAIST Dorm System) automatically get results from KAIST Clinic. But it may take up to 7 days to update on KDS(KAIST Dorm System) after check-up. Jewelry such as necklaces should be avoided due to the risk of loss and potential interference with the examination. ※ Students eligible for a free Chest X-ray (enrolled KAIST students who have already completed the BASIC Health Check-up at the KAIST Clinic this year) are entitled to one free Chest X-ray session. Please follow the reservation instructions under "B. Dormitory Chest X-ray." C. Chest X-ray Reading The time it takes to read a chest X-ray : Up to 5~7 days. ◾ If there is anything wrong with the chest X-ray reading, KAIST Clinic Health Management Office will reach out to you. However, if there is no problem, we do not contact you. ◾ The read chest X-ray results will be automatically submitted to KDS(KAIST Dorm System) at 6 a.m. the next day. ◾ For the convenience of students, KDS(KAIST Dorm System) automatically get results from KAIST Clinic. But it may take up to 7 days to update on KDS(KAIST Dorm System) after check-up.
