Ephesians 3:16-19 ~ WAW Guest Designer

Hello friends and happy Wednesday!  I hope you're doing well and your week is floating along smoothly.  I've been invited to be a guest designer at Word Art Wednesday Challenge Blog, and I'm honored to be creating with such a talented team that brings praise and honor to The Lord.

If you're not familiar with Word Art Wednesday, it's a family friendly "Anything Goes" challenge that provides an optional biblical word art piece that you may incorporate into your design, but this is strictly optional.

The word art for this challenge is:

I printed the verse using my home printer onto a piece of Hammermill 100# white cardstock.  I masked off the verse portion of the panel and ink blended the top using Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass DOX inks.
If you look closely, you'll see some white paint splatters to add a splash of detail.

The flowers are Pholox Blooms and Leaves by Birch Press Design.  I love how the layers align perfectly and add depth to the flowers.

I do hope you'll take a moment to visit the Word Art Wednesday challenge blog to see more amazing designs from their talented team, and join in on the fun!  It's always "Anything Goes" as long as is family friendly.

Thanks for stopping by!

Good morning y'all!  I'm thrilled to be sharing six cards with you today, that I made using the Spellbinders February Card Kit of the Month.

This month's kit is filled with beautiful spring floral papers, die cuts and some lovely chipboard frames like I used on this card.

The kit includes this set of sentiment stamps, using a lovely handwritten font that covers friendship and encouragement.

Lots of beautiful gold accents and sequins.

The kit also comes with a set of 13 dies.  The detailed vine and sentiment die cuts are delicate and so lovely!

The kit also includes card bases with envelopes, two different types of adhesives, die cuts, sequins and 9 pieces of coordinating cardstock.

This is such an amazing value for all the supplies you'll receive.

Bleeding Heart ~ Double D

Good morning friends~  A new challenge is up over at Double D Challenges and we're looking for projects with a heart.  2020 has taken a toll on many people.  Illness, struggles, isolation, death of loved ones.  The list goes on and on.  Each day is a gift waiting to be unwrapped, for better or for worse.  I'm so thankful that I know that The God of the Universe is in control of all things. Yes, there is suffering, but He is there with us as we journey through life.

I made this card for a friend who has been struggling with many health issues.  I hope she knows how much she is loved.

I used a Brick & Mortar embossing folder from Stamping up! for the background.
Though it's hard to see, I added some gray ink to the mortar part of the embossing folder before running it through the die cutting machine.  It adds just a bit more dimension.

The verse is from PTI's Expression of Empathy and the brackets and bleeding hearts are from their Make It Market Garden Gate kit.  Oldie but goodie!

Here's what you could win when you play along.
And here's the inspiration photo to help you get motivated.

I do hope you'll visit the Double D Challenge blog to see my talented teamies creations for this challenge and join in on the fun!

Choose Joy!

Good morning friends.  I'm popping in with a card that fits perfectly in the Time Out Challenge going on right now.

The Tim Holtz Bunny Hop dies from Sizzix are the happiest, dancing bunnies I've seen and they'll certainly dance their way into your heart as they did mine.

I went with a shabby chic look, using the same but different backgrounds and layouts.

The simple sentiment to "choose joy" says it all!

I'll be adding one of these cards to the following challenges:

Use Your Scraps ~ Double D Challenge

Good morning friends~ This is the day that the Lord has made...
There's a new challenge starting over at Double D Challenge and we're asking you to use some of those scraps you have lying around.

I have a box of scrappy paper, another box filled with baggies that are full of images that are already stamped and die cuts waiting to be used and a pile of images to color. I was happy to pull these items out and turn them into cards.

I had two of these adorable bunnies waiting to be colored, that were given to me by my sweet friend Lisa.  This one is called Puttering Around by artist Michelle Masters.  Once they were colored, I cut them using a puffy cloud die from Lawn Fawn.  The flowers from PTI were already stamped and cut and the background paper came from my scrap box.  I always enjoy the chance to use up scraps and I hope you'll join in on this fun challenge too.

Here's what you could win:

12 Kits of Occasion ~ May Flowers

Good morning stamping friends ~ It's the end of the month so that means it's time for a group post for the 12 Kits of Occasion gals to post our projects using kits put together by one of our amazingly talented team mates.  This month's kit was hosted by my very dear friend and incredibly creative Marcia Hill of Marcia's Stampin' Pad.

The theme of her kit is called April Showers Bring May Flowers.  If there's one thing Marcia knows how to do, it flowers!!  She's not afraid to try new techniques and she rocks every new technique every time!  I adored this delightful kit and the cards whipped together in a snap!

Now on to my cards:
I think this card is my favorite.  I adore this little Bundle Girl from Stampingbella holding her snowdrops.  She was super easy to color and she is just as cute as a button!!

Marcia had these tulips from PTI all stamped and ready to go.  All I had to do was add a strip of patterned paper and a bit of black glitter tape.  The sentiment banner is also from PTI.

I was a little hesitant to color this Penny Black image called "First Blush" because it was so pretty embossed in silver and I didn't want to ruin it.  In the end, I'm fairly pleased with how it came out.

I thought this paper was so pretty, I didn't want to put anything over it to cover those pretty flowers.  This sentiment die from Spellbinders still allows the paper to be the star of the show.

Marcia included so many wonderful images to color including this one from Simon Says Stamp, Mandy's Flowers.  I happened to have these eggs left over from Easter sitting on my desk and thought they went perfectly with the Farm Fresh theme.

Another sweet Penny Black image.  This one is called Daffodil Devotion.  LOVE!!

And last but not least, another favorite Stampingbella image, Tiny Townie Garden Girl "Lily Of The Valley".  Oh gosh, isn't she sweet?  I'll add a sentiment later, when I know what I want to use this card for.  For now, she's perfectly cute on this CAS card.

I hope you'll visit the 12 Kits of Occasion blog to see how the rest of my talented team mates used Marcia's fabulous kit.

Finding Joy in Every Day!

Hello friends ~  I'm popping in today with a card that I think fits perfectly at The Paper Players theme challenge "Make You Smile".

These adorable ducklings from Sugar Pea Designs always bring a smile to my face.

I recently bought this Ocean Scene background die from Hello Bluebird and I just love it!  It made the perfect backdrop for the happy ducks to swim and frolic about in.  The timely message is something we all need to remember, every day!

I'll be adding this card to the following challenges:
The Paper Players ~ Make You Smile
Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge ~ Use a die or a punch

I hope you're staying well and healthy and finding unique ways of keeping busy.

In Memory of Our Sweet Friend ~ 12 Kits of Occasion

Good morning friends.  Life certainly has a way of showing us just how fragile and brief our time here on this earth is.  Many of you may already know that our 12 Kits of Occasion team lost a dear friend and member in the end of March.

Sharron Gregory (On Papillon Wings)  passed away on March 30th, following complications from heart issues she'd been having.  She was dear to my heart and I had the privilege of meeting her for the first time when I went away to a craft retreat in Kansas at the Craft House and then again when she and her sweet hubby Harry came to Maine.  Daryl and I enjoyed spending time with both Sharron and Harry over breakfast one morning when they were on their way to a bird watching excursion.  I felt like we'd known each other forever, Sharron was so easy to talk to. She had a passion for nature and willingly shared her stories about the work she did at the botanical garden and her local zoo.  We continued to keep in touch with regular e-mails and sending "happy mail" back and forth to each other.

The news of her passing touched me deeply and even now, tears sting my eyes as I write this post.  My heart hurts for Harry and their family.  To honor and remember Sharron, our team is posting cards to honor our beloved friend.

Anyone who knew Sharron knew that She had a great love for birds, butterflies, animals and flowers.  Even though I had made a sympathy card to send to Harry, this card came to me one day when I was sitting, uninspired, in my craft room.  The flowers are Forget-Me-Nots and the hugging bunnies so speak of the sadness I think we all feel.

Past and present team members of the 12 Kits of Occasion are doing a special blog hop to honor our dear friend.  When you visit the 12 Kits of Occasion blog, you'll see all the cards from our team.  Click on their individual links to visit their blogs to  read about the memories shared.  I hope the cards and memories will bring a smile to your heart as you remember Sharron and how sweet and kind she was.  She will be greatly missed.

I leave you with this sentiment copied from Sharron's blog:
Beautiful and graceful, varied and enchanting, small but approachable, butterflies lead you to the sunny side of life. And everyone deserves a little sunshine. ~Jeffrey Glassberg

Singing With The Birds

Good morning friends.  We recently got more snow, which laid a heavy blanket on the spring flowers that were coming up in my flower gardens.  Thankfully, it's almost all melted as I write up this blog post.
I enjoyed coloring this sweet Pure Innocence image called "Season's Tweetings" from My Favorite Things using the colors from their most recent challenge.  This stamp is discontinued but will always be one of my favorites.

I'll also be entering this card into the following challenges:
