{May Has Arrived}

  I sure hope that your May has kicked off to a good start. The heat is settling in quick around our parts.  We've kicked off May with watching our softball girls win the District. Next week we start another round of ball. It's so much fun to watch these girls and especially our girl, Mallory. She plays centerfield.  We were so proud of both teams that played against each other. They all, hand in hand gathered together as one of our girls prayed for the game and also for one of our young men that was in a horrific car accident and fighting. His name is Kaden if you can think to lift him up to our Lord.  I had the opportunity recently to speak to a group of women at a ladies luncheon event at a local church. Oh we had so much fun. I wished I had gotten pictures of the beautiful decorations. We had a TEA PARTY and we each kept the cup that we drank out of it.  Isn't she just lovely? Easter has come and gone but we sure have a great time with family. We gather each...

{Merry Christmas Everyone}

I hope that you all are enjoying the holidays. It seems that we all are extra busy this time of the year but I am surely enjoying my holiday. I spent half a day with my grandgirl at her school recently and we watched a movie, ate popcorn, baked Christmas cookies and made ornaments. It was so much fun.  The youngest grandgirls had a Christmas dance recital and oh my goodness! They done an awesome job and didn't miss a beat of their performance.  My girls and I had a wonderful Christmas outing and dined at River and Post Restaurant. I was quite impressed. We did not wait to be seated (we did have reservations), the waiter was above and beyond what was expected, the service was the best I've experienced lately and the food was awesome. Marty and I will be going there after the New Year for sure.  Upon arriving to work one morning I saw this cute gift sitting outside my office door with my name on it. I have no clue who surprised me but looks like whomever it was KNOWS ME WEL...

{Country Winter Tablescape}

  Happy Week To Everyone. I hope that this week brings you lots of JOY . I wanted to share my Country Winter Tablescape that is surely given me joy this week. I did not want to put away my Christmas table decor this year but when my youngest daughter spotted these cute chargers at Michaels and pointed them out to me I knew a Country Winter Tablescape was next.  Incorporating my Deer and forest animals that I used at Christmas made me feel that I still had a little of Christmas lingering on my table.  I love these new chargers and what I really loved about them was the price. 8 of them for $7.50 at Michaels was the after Christmas sale price and wouldn't you know it...they had 8 which is what I needed.  As soon as I saw the chargers I knew exactly what kind of tablescape I wanted to do.  My white platter surely came in handy for more than just cookies to nestle on. I was able to incorporate pinecones, small white ornaments and several mini trees. ...

{Happy New Year and My WORD for 2021}

  I sure hope that your New Year has started out with "sweet moments" of life happening all around you. I have been busy taking my Christmas down and putting it away for another season. I love my Christmas so much and I always dread taking it down. But, It's a New Season of life, a New Beginning , and a New Reason to have JOY ! For New Year's Eve we spent some time with our children and fried some good old venison back strap and potatoes. We enjoyed a fire pit and S'mores and of course a few fireworks added to the fun.  On New Year's Day we spent a quiet day at home "piddling" as we like to call it. I've learned something about myself this past year. I'm real quick to start several projects at one time but I am easily distracted by other things. So I just sorta "Piddle" . Oh well.... I went out to eat and done a little shopping with this crew over the New Year Holidays. YEP, picked up a few new items for next Christmas that had ...

{Birthday, Nail appointment and Flowers} A great combination huh?

My first born celebrated her birthday and I must say, her daddy is sure getting older!  We had a wonderful lunch and my oldest granddaughter baked her mama a birthday cake. Doesn't it look too pretty to eat? My grandgirl has become quite the baker and that makes me so happy. Kristy is quite amazing. She truly has a kind and humble spirit that shows the love of Christ to her family, friends and to all that know her. We couldn't be more proud of her. I decided it was time to do my nails so I made myself a nail appointment at Cindy's Nail Salon .  I have no excuse for not doing them as I keep plenty of nail supplies around for the grandgirls. Mercy, I have a whole cabinet of nail stuff.  When you have five granddaughters then you have nail supplies, hair bows, lipstick and stuff to make cookies! I probably threw away at least a dozen bottles that had dried up. But finally narrowed it down to a few of my favorite colors.  ...

Wednesday in the Word-JOY

Most days we Must CHOOSE Joy simply because we can! I enjoy reading things written by Kay Warren, wife of Rick Warren (The Purpose Driven Life). She has a book called, "Choose Joy--Because Happiness isn't enough".   Never has truer words been spoken. If we base our joy on being happy all the time we would not have any joy!  Kay tells a little story about a person's expression of joy being based upon their personality traits. I love how she says this... Let's look at the personalities that Kay has mentioned. ·          Tiggers: Tiggers are bouncy, flouncy, trouncy, pouncy, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun! They bounce through life with a spring in their step. They laugh loudly at parties (I’ve decided they do everything loudly), they tell jokes, and they think everyone is their best friend. Even if they can’t remember your name, you’re their best friend. Of course, joy comes easily to them — right? ·   ...
