{May Has Arrived}

  I sure hope that your May has kicked off to a good start. The heat is settling in quick around our parts.  We've kicked off May with watching our softball girls win the District. Next week we start another round of ball. It's so much fun to watch these girls and especially our girl, Mallory. She plays centerfield.  We were so proud of both teams that played against each other. They all, hand in hand gathered together as one of our girls prayed for the game and also for one of our young men that was in a horrific car accident and fighting. His name is Kaden if you can think to lift him up to our Lord.  I had the opportunity recently to speak to a group of women at a ladies luncheon event at a local church. Oh we had so much fun. I wished I had gotten pictures of the beautiful decorations. We had a TEA PARTY and we each kept the cup that we drank out of it.  Isn't she just lovely? Easter has come and gone but we sure have a great time with family. We gather each...

{It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Fall" Every Where I Go.....

I hope that you all are enjoying your late Sunday evening. As for me, I about pooped as my granny would have said and ready for a little "rest in the recliner". We've had a busy week and weekend and it seems there is never enough time in the day to get all done that is needed but....I just give God the praise that we are able to do most of what is needed a little bit of what we want to do.  I managed to get a little more Fall decor done and I was glad as I told my daughter's...it won't be long and I'll be decorating for Christmas. I know that God knew what He was doing but y'all, I really think some holidays are too close together. LOL! My little grands love my OLD scarecrow. Bless his little heart, he used to light up but that tore up a few years ago. However, he is still in the family.  We went and watched our favorite grandson play his last home football game. Needless to say he has quite a fan club.  Nothing like family supporting family and with these...

{Football, Food And Fun}

  Happy Sunday afternoon everyone. I do hope that you all are well and have had a wonderful weekend. We enjoyed some college football last night with my family and needless to say, WE ATE WELL! Nothing like good old football food! M friend Barbara over at  https://sweetteaandsandals.blogspot.com/ had posted about her sausage stars using Won Ton Wrappers and I knew some Won Ton's was in the making for our football party. I made several different versions. We like a Sausage dip using Rotel tomatoes with chips so I made that recipe for one batch. Another batch was pepperoni cheese pizza won tons and another batch was turkey/cheese with a dollop of ranch. They were so good and of course I had to try one before serving.  Does anyone grate cheese anymore???? Well of course we have to have ONE that goes for the team playing against my beloved Georgia Bulldogs at the party! He best be glad that he is my favorite grandson! I was so glad when that game was over! Mercy....about beca...

{Pumpkin Spice and All Things Nice}

  Happy Sunday afternoon everyone. I hope that you all have had a wonderful week and weekend. We sure have and a busy one with family. But, it's the life that I love. I have been wanting to decorate a little for Fall but it's been so hard with the temps being so high. And, even when the temps drop a little the humidity is horrible. Praise the LORD for AC! I am READY for a little Fall so finally got my dining table decorated at least. I wanted simple for my table and I wanted to incorporate my little truck. Y'all know I love me some little trucks.  I found these cuties at Hobby Lobby and loved them. Of course that 40% off surely made it an easy decision to purchase them.  It's just not FALL to me without  some "orange" but I wanted  a little something different this year and I wanted to incorporate some orange. I already had the black and white chargers, black flatware, white plates and well, almost everything else to be honest. So grabbed a black and white cut...

{Monday Musings of My Life}

Happy Birthday to our baby girl... Our baby girl just celebrated a birthday. My, what happened to that little girl that used to lay her head in my lap and let me run my fingers through her hair for hours? Now here she is a wife... And a mom to these two precious girls.  Adalynn and Annaleigh Being the baby surely brings extra joy for her because she is spoi led by her sisters.   Her nephew and nieces adore her . She was my last child and third daughter. I named her after her daddy whose name is Marty and after my great-grandmother whose name was Dolly Lee. I chose to spell it differently so it wound up being Marti Leigh and we call her both names.  Each of my children get to pick what they want for their birthday dinner so her menu of choice was grilled chicken, baked potatoes, Greek salad and green beans and bread. Her birthday dessert was f ried donuts and vanilla ice cream. We had a great time celebrating my g...
