Whiplash "Unborn Again [Digipak, UK, Pulverised Records, ASH 065 CD]"

In 2009, founding member Tony Portaro and Joe Cangelosi reformed the band, adding bassist Rich Day, and recorded Unborn Again, released in September 2009. Whiplash played many festivals in Europe that year including Wacken Open Air in Germany, Jalometalli festival in Finland and shows in Italy, Norway, Mexico and Colombia.

Whiplash "Thrashback [Limited Edition Digipak, Germany, Massacre Records, MAS DP0148]"

Thrashback is the sixth full-length studio album by American thrash metal band Whiplash. It was released via Massacre Records and follows the previous year's offering, Sit Stand Kneel Prey.

The album marked a return to the three-piece line-up which recorded the band's first two albums between 1985 and 1987 – famously all called Tony. In 1999, Massacre Records released a compilation of previously unavailable demo and live tracks, entitled Messages in Blood, before the untimely death of Tony Bono.

Loudwire named Thrashback the best thrash metal album of 1998.

Whiplash "Insult To Injury [Japan, F.E.M.S., APCY-8010]"

Insult to Injury is the third full-length studio album by American thrash metal band Whiplash. It follows 1987's Ticket to Mayhem. It was seven years before a largely changed line-up recorded a new album, Cult of One.

This album saw the addition of vocalist Glenn Hansen as Tony Portaro concentrated on guitar duties instead of the dual role performed on previous albums.

The original album title may have been Rape of the Mind, Tony Portaro indicated in a live performance video recorded at Copenhagen.

Whiplash "Ticket To Mayhem [Germany, Roadracer Records, RO 9596 2]"

Ticket to Mayhem is the second studio album by American thrash metal band Whiplash. It was released on Roadrunner Records in October 1987 and follows 1986's Power and Pain. In 1989, the band released a follow-up album, Insult to Injury.

The opening and closing tracks, both called "Perpetual Warfare", are simply sound effects of guns, explosions, and fighter planes.

In 1998, Displeased Records rereleased Ticket to Mayhem and Power and Pain together on one CD.

Whiplash "Power And Pain [Germany, Roadracer Records, RO 9718 2]"

Whiplash is an American thrash metal band formed in 1984 in Passaic, New Jersey. They have been centered around guitarist and vocalist Tony Portaro, who is the only remaining original member of the band. Despite never achieving major success, Whiplash has been recognized as one of the first East Coast thrash metal bands in the 1980s, and they are also notable for featuring drummer Tony Scaglione, who had been in and out of Whiplash since its inception and was a temporary fill-in for Dave Lombardo in Slayer on the latter's Reign in Blood tour.

The original lineup of Tony Portaro, Tony Scaglione and Tony Bono recorded their debut album Power and Pain for Roadrunner Records in 1986. Joe Cangelosi replaced Tony Scaglione that same year when the latter left for a seven-week tour with Slayer.

Power and Pain is the debut album by American thrash metal band Whiplash. It was released in 1986 via Roadrunner Records and was followed up by 1987's Ticket to Mayhem.

In 1998, Displeased Records rereleased Power and Pain, which included their second album, Ticket to Mayhem.

The album features members of New York City bands, Carnivore and Agnostic Front, on backing vocals.

Cult of One is the fourth full-length studio album by American thrash metal band Whiplash. It was released on Massacre Records in 1996 and follows a seven-year absence of the band after 1989's Insult to Injury. A different vocalist and bass player, and an additional guitarist joined originals Tony Portaro and Tony Scaglione – a line-up which again changed for the following year's offering, Sit Stand Kneel Prey.
