An adorable Eyelet Outlet Chicken Brad is the star of this EGG-stra special (and EGG-stra silly) card. Set atop a pile of Egg Brads (they're on sale!) she is justifiably proud of her achievement. WE CHICKS NEED TO STICK TOGETHER!

I don't know about you, but I have a group of best friends that are the craziest, funniest, each unique, and the most loyal group of women I have ever met in my life. We love to craft together, go shopping together, cry together when things are rough, have holiday parties together, all gather around to protect an injured flock member, and sometimes we even just go out for afternoon tea and scones. We even have a “callout” word we use when we are shopping and get separated….”CAW CAW”…yes, like a bird….hahaha. These women are my peeps and I choose them to be park of my flock and am more than honored to have them in my hen house. This card is dedicated to them – I love and cherish you all so very much and cannot thank you enough for your friendships.

To create this card, I die cut all the pieces out and colored them in with alcohol markers to give them their own personalities and, of course the maximum sassiness available! I’m not going to say which chicken is based off which friend, but I think they will figure it out.

For example, one chicken has beautiful blue eyes made with Eyelet Outlet’s blue jewel bling, crazy-fun hair and she is sporting some sassy cat-eye glasses from the Women’s Eyeglasses Brads that show us her true inner diva! LOVE!

Another one of my chicks, of course, is wearing a tiara from the Crown and Tiara brads because… why not! And you can't go shopping without a designer handbag from the Shoe and Purse brads collection.

The last chicken has beautiful golden jewel bling eyes that highlight her poppin’ pink glasses. She, of course, in raisin’ the roof to get the party started!

The hen house has a little egg in there from the Egg Brads just reminding us there is always something waiting for us to tend to at home.

When you have a group of crazy friends like I do, you have to stick together and never let them clucking go! They are priceless, precious, and make your life so much more of an adventure than you could ever imagine.

Find your chicks and stick together.

Have a wonderful week and always be STRATE-UP CRAFTY!

Happy Easter Greetings!

I love Easter and the coming of spring! I enjoyed creating a vintage, shabby chic inspired Easter card for a different take on the traditional Easter colors!

I created my background using 2 different washi tapes. One is a beautiful wide, rose, vintage-style washi and the other is a new favorite of mine, the gold script. I stamped my Happy Easter greeting and added 2 bunnies with pearl jewels for eyes. Lastly, I embellished with Easter egg brads and rose brads. I think this card has a vintage and elegant feel, yet it is simple in style and easy to replicate! I hope you enjoy!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Don't forget to shop at Eyelet Outlet for all your crafting needs!

Prepare to Dye

When I dyed Easter eggs as a little girl, we had those flimsy little wire holders to lower the egg into the dye, but this Pinterest hack of using a whisk is so much better!

I created this fun Easter card with images from Cricut Design Space and I embellished it with white egg brads and enamel hearts from Eyelet Outlet. If you’d like to make it, I’ve shared the file on my Cricut profile.

If you're also a Cricut crafter and you’d like to make this project, I’ve shared the file on my Cricut profile in the Cricut Community within Cricut Design Space.

Wishing all of our Eyelet Outlet fans a happy Easter weekend!

Chick or Treat

Everyone wants to meet some cute chicks, especially at Eastertime, right? So I (Lauren) am happy to introduce you to our brand new, totally adorable, Eyelet Outlet Chick Brads!

I can never resist a diabolical pun, so as soon as I paired the Chicks with the Colored Eggs I knew what the sentiment had to be! I also added a plain white Egg Brad to which I gave a substantial "crack" with permanent marker, a Mini Stitched Flower Brad and a Heart Enamel. To make a fun coordinating background I neatly lined up strips of Pink and Green ZigZag Tape on some plain white cardstock, then trimmed it to size like any other patterned paper.

Of course, not everyone celebrates Easter, but that doesn't mean they have to miss out on colorful cardmaking fun. For my second card I added more Chicks and Colored Eggs to a journal card with the perfect sentiment, and to turn it into a little scene I punched some grass and affixed Sun and Cloud Brads to the top corner. A small Pink Pearl to dot the "i" finishes the whole thing off nicely.

No matter what holidays you're looking forward to this Spring, I bet Eyelet Outlet has Brads and Tape that will help make your cards EGG-stra special! :)

No LION! You're Great!

I've got Valentines on my mind today and I'm crazy about incorporating Eyelet Outlet brads into them!  Today's Valentine features the King of the Jungle, the lion brad!

How about a little "Throw Back Thursday" today?

A couple of years ago I put together a little kit so that my great niece could make her own Valentines Day cards for her class party at school.  She had so much fun with this project! Using my Cricut I cut out a two layered heart image. I attached the text to the white heart layers and used the print-then-cut feature in Cricut Design Space.  I punched all the holes where the brads would be placed and she matched up the brads with the valentines and glued the red heart frame to the cards.

Here's a photo of some of the finished ones.

You'll find more punny Valentines and many fabulous projects by the Eyelet Outlet Design Team all in one place on our Pinterest page!

Ready for the Hunt!

Easter is just around the corner and Eyelet Outlet has some fabulous products for all your Easter crafting!

Today I've created an Easter card that features a strip of  Easter Egg Washi Tape across the center of the card.  The beautiful eggs appear to be peeking up from behind the grass, all decorated and ready to be discovered at the Easter Egg Hunt!

The rabbit on my card is from Cricut's Seasonal Characters image set. I switched out his egg with an Eyelet Outlet Easter Egg Brad instead!  He's dipping his paint brush into paint cans from Cricut's Handy Man image set.  I helped him decorate the Easter Egg Brads by adding some flowers and shapes that I cut out of vinyl and stuck to the eggs.  Eyelet Outlet also has "regular" eggs that come in white and brown and I decorated one of those for the Easter Egg Hunt, too!

Be sure and check out all of our fabulous Easter Products on line at EyeletOutlet.com or see us in person at one of the many trade shows we attend throughout the year!  Next up is the Columbus Stamp & Scrap Show on March 29-30 in Columbus, Ohio.

Happy and Hoppy

Easter is fairly late this year, which means we have plenty of time to make Easter cards! But when you see all the fun Eyelet Outlet Easter products, I (Lauren) don't think you'll want to wait!

I started with an Easter-themed journal card... surely those are the best time-saver EVER for cardmakers? I stamped and fussycut the sweet bunny from Pretty Pink Posh's Holiday Pals set, and then I got straight to the fun embellies! To the pre-printed striped egg and flowers I added Stitched Flower BradsMini Stitched Flowers, a Pastel Rabbit, an Egg Brad decorated with a strip of Skinny Washi and of course you cannot send a bunny out into the world without a carrot, right? So here's one from the Vegetable Brads set. I also added in an 1/8" Round Brad everywhere there was a little circle on the journal card... which means that each of the printed flower centers AND all of the scallops around the edge got one! I added a few pastel layered mats before mounting the whole thing to a 5.5" square card I had adorned with neatly lined up strips of Pink and Green Zig Zag Tape!

I hope you'll hop on over to the Eyelet Outlet shop and see what Easter goodies are in store!

Did Someone Order Breakfast?

Because I (Lauren) have two yummy Breakfast ATC's for you that contain zero fat, cholesterol or calories. They feature the awesome Bacon, Egg and Toast Brad Set from Eyelet Outlet!

I love making Artist Trading Cards, the official dimensions of which are the same as a playing card: 2.5 x 3.5". I'll tell you a secret... most of my ATC's (including these) are made directly on top of a playing card from an old deck that's missing a few cards, which gives me a nice strong substrate on which to work. I made the Toaster ATC first. It features two pieces of Toast from the Bacon, Egg and Toast set plus some pink hearts from the super-useful Multicolor Enamel Hearts set. I used a strip of Skinny Washi to create a horizon line behind the toaster.

In case you're wondering what happened to the Eggs and Bacon from the set, my second card contains the answer, lol. Again I've used Skinny Heart Washi to divide two layers of patterned paper. For the record, the idea for my cracked egg was stolen from (AHEM) I mean inspired by (that's better!) my fellow EO designer Kim Venezia of Katydid Cards. She made this awesome pair of cards that use the Egg Brads with the Bacon, Egg and Toast set as well as our own EO Breakfast Stamps last June!

An Egg-cellent Stamp Set

Hello everyone.  It's Kim from Katydid Cards.

Some of my favorites Eyelet Outlet are the Bacon, Egg & Toast and Egg brads, so I was very happy when the complementary clear stamp set, Breakfast.  It gave me an "egg-cellent" opportunity to make these cards.

My first card is a standing easel card featuring one of the stamp images combined with the toast and Jewel Bling in two sizes.

I know some people would gasp when I say I snipped my clear stamp, removing the top piece so I could curve it across the top of the oval.  Next, I colored only the "without you" to place that on the banner against which the easel is propped.

I used cute digital patterned paper from the Rise & Shine collection by Northern Whimsy, changing the colors a bit to coordinate well with the brads.  It was also where I got my color cues for the stamping and cardstock.

Inside the easel, I stamped the final line of the stamp which demonstrates it works well as one image or separated as I've shown.  Another piece of toast as an accent and the card is done.

I also made the card in reverse colors.  I like them both, but I think the purple base is my favorite.

Another image in the set works perfectly with eggs.  I used the eggs from both brad sets I mentioned earlier.  For this card, I used some metal snips to cut one of the egg brads and colored the edge with a black marker.  I also drew a crack across another egg.  And the third...sunnyside up!

The digital plaid paper helped me pick the bright and cheerful cardstock for this sliding card.  The card was made using a cut file purchased in the Silhouette store.

If you haven't done so yet, be sure to check out all the clear stamps in the store.

Some Eggs-ceptional Cards

Hello everyone.  It's Kim from Katydid Cards.

Sounds prideful, doesn't it?  Actually, it's the brads that are egg-ceptional; both literally and figuratively!  And I have to say I really enjoy working with these.  Here's a link to the Egg Brads, just in case you want to get some for yourself.  There are also Colored Egg Brads in the store; I used them previously on this Easter card.

I can't wait to show you this first card because it's one of my favorites.  Then again, I have a lot of favorite Eyelet Outlet cards!

In addition to the egg brads, I used the Canister, Cooking, Mixer & Cup, and Baking Brads.  The combination couldn't have been better for this card and the patterned paper called Cooking Time from Crave Designs was a perfect way to tie it all together.

But as to the question, "How do I like my eggs?"

Well, here's my answer which you find just by lifting the flap:

The cute muffin tin has wells in it for the batter to go, so I filled them!  I used the White Pearl Bling Strips.

Next up, I have a cute card to give anyone of whom you're proud just to let them know.  If would also be nice to send to someone who needs a little confidence boost.

This time I put the little egg in a nest, perched nicely on a branch adorned with the Stitched Flower.

I used several different cut files from the Silhouette store, but the base was made using this file.  I changed the size of the card to 3 1/2" x 6" and cut it from Soft Sky cardstock by Stampin' Up.   The Cloudy Day embossing folder helps add some interest to the card front.  I cut the branch twice and snipped off the leaves; running them through the crimper before attaching them atop the branch.  Here's a closer look:

Inside, a little play on words for the sentiment.

Thanks for visiting today.  I am egg-ceptionally happy you stopped by.
