Christmas Peace
In the middle of creating fall themed cards, I decided take a quick detour to make my first Christmas card of the season. Eyelet Outlet has so many holiday themed brads to choose from. Today I used some of my favorites!
This card was created with a card kit. I put it together and then added lots of brads and bling to make it pop. First, I used 8 mm Cut Bling in Red. I also added red Jewel Bling in a two sizes. But the stars of the card are the female and male cardinals sitting atop of an ornament. I also added a Red Cut Bling on the jute bow, two Holly Brads, and a Poinsettia Brad.

Beautiful Mandala Bunny
Hello and happy Sunday! On the first day of a new week, I present a sweet bunny full of color and texture. This is a mandala style bunny made with six layers of cardstock stacked on top of each other. It was cut from a Cricut Design Space file.
While this is pretty, I thought that Eyelet Outlet's new Tulip Brads and Yellow Rose Brads would be beautiful as accents. I hope you agree they do take this bunny to the next level. Since this is a pretty thick piece, I used wire cutters to remove the brad prongs and applied them with hot glue. Sometimes I do this when it's not as practical to install them normally.
I used four new Tulip Brads at the tips of his ears and below his head. I used three new Yellow Rose Brads at his tail, in the middle of the flower on his body and his eye. I think these are fanciful accents that enhance this non-traditional project.
I also applied jewel bling and teardrop bling in several complementary colors on this rabbit. It adds a touch of shine and also complements the many different cardstock colors that were used.
While I could have converted this to a shaped card, it's big at over 8" tall. I opted instead to make an easel back and this guy is going to decorate my desk at work through Easter. I know I'm going to get many compliments on it!
Thanks for stopping by today. I'll see you next week but until then please visit the EO store for all your brads, washi tape, bling and paper flowers!

Pop Up Christmas Cards
Today I’m sharing two pop-up cards with a Christmas theme. The stamp and die sets I used are from Diamond Press. In the first, Santa is peaking out of the chimney on a house roof. When the tab is pulled, he pops out.

Cutest Little Pop-Up Christmas Tree Card
Let’s start off on the front of the card. The red
base is embossed in little polka dots with two die cut scalloped-edged cut outs
which was the perfect place for the Happy Holidays chipboard sentiment. The
cute Christmas tree is embellished with multiple Cut Jewel Bling in red,
clear, green, purple, orange, blue and champagne. I also used Red Swirl Bling to
add more shine and movement to the card. You will also notice clear Jewel Bling on
the front as well.
Once you open the card, you will see the most
festive 3D Christmas tree that pops up right from the middle of the card. The
adorable Christmas tree is dazzled with multiple sizes of Jewel Bling in
red, light blue, orange, green and purple. They look like little Christmas bulbs
when the light shines on them! The
Christmas tree skirt has Black Bling
highlighting its edges.
I used of farmhouse style ribbon in black and
white with a Large Black
Bumpy Bling in the center of each hand tied bow. Unfortunately, I think the black bumpy bling
sold out when I was making this so I attached a link to the clear bumpy bling which
would be just as pretty!
The Merry Christmas sentiment is bejeweled with Green Jewel Bling. And to top off the card on the left-hand side, I added some beautiful Black Swirl Bling to add extra light and movement. You all have awesome taste because it looks as though the Black Swirl Bling is sold out, as well. I linked to the Green Swirl Bling as that was my second choice when making this card. It will look beautiful!
As you can see, using Eyelet Outlets bling’s will always make any card sparkle, shine, and glitter. Make sure you always have enough bling on hand to spruce up any card you are sending.
I hope you enjoyed this week's card, and I cannot wait for you to see next weeks project.

From Drab to Fab!!
Even if you do not have a stash of craft supplies
at your disposal to create handmade cards, you can still have all the fun using
Eyelet Outlets brads and bling!
For this week’s creation, I didn’t make any
cards…nope…I BOUGHT them from my local Dollar store!! I bought the three plainest
looking cards I could find knowing Eyelet Outlet would come to my rescue to help jazz them up!
Check these out!
For the Happy Birthday card, I used a variety
of colors from the Lollipop
Brads, multi colored pearl bling, and two
different washi-tapes in the corners – the Dot Washi Tape and
the Glitter
Chevron Washi Tape.
For the Baby Girl card, I used a Safety Pin Brad,
several Heart Brads,
pink Jewel Bling,
white pearl bling
and some white Pearl Swirl
Bling.
You don’t have to make handmade cards from scratch to use EO’s goodies. As you can see, any store-bought card can be transformed into a handmade card that is cute enough to be the gift!

Pictures with Santa
I've got a trivia question for you today. What was the name of the department store in the movie, "A Christmas Story?" It was Higbees! I love that scene as it reminds me of my brother and I visiting Santa at the Boston Store in Erie, Pennsylvania in the 60's. I created a Christmas card for you today that takes me back to that happy memory.

You Donut Look Old
I can think of a friend or two that I could send the card to. ;)
I didn't have any Balloon Brads in my stash, but I wanted a balloon on my card. Not to worry - the Ornament Brad looks like a balloon when it's turned upside down, especially if you add a string to it.

Steampunk Valentine
I cut out a heart nearly big enough to fill my A2 card front, from a scrap of Prima's "Craftsman" collection I found lurking in my paper stash, and put the sentiment on with some sparkly, vintage-looking alphabet stickers. Then I added lots of mechanical themed Eyelet Outlet Brads: Gears, a Compass, large and small Screw Brads and even the valve from the Pipe Brad set! Finally I scattered several sizes of grey Jewel Bling around the spaces in between. I like that the result is a bit elegant, but also quite masculine!
There will be lots more Valentine inspiration here on the Eyelet Outlet Blog, all throughout January, so be sure to stop back often and see what the team is up to! ♥

Deck the Halls
It's time to deck the halls if you're into decorating for the holidays. These days, this is an easier way for me to decorate...on a card! While I'd like to say, "and there's no clean-up" the truth is I make quite the mess when I make cards. I have all sorts of supplies and tools scattered everywhere and tend to work in only a square foot of open space.
This card showcases a number of Eyelet Outlet brads including the Holly, Wreath and Holiday Light. Also used are the Hardwood and Gold Foil Washi Tape and Red Jewel Bling Strips. The tree's topper is the Glitter Enamel Star.
I cut the stair steps from a Stampin' Up die. I cut it a second time after placing the Hardwood Washi Tape to it and cut the base from the posts. I topped the stairs with the Holly and added the Wreath which I further adorned with smaller Jewel Bling. Here's another picture of the card, slightly opened.
And here is the card, fully opened. An accent table, also covered in Hardwood Washi Tape hosts an arrangement of Poinsettia brads.
So this card is all about the inside of the house. Did you happen to catch my Rooftop cards? If not, you can take a peek here.

From Our Home to Yours
I always liked cards with the greeting, "from our home to yours". It seems like they always have a warm, welcoming feel to them. I'm hoping this card does as well with the adorable new Wreath brads. I combined them with the Holly brads, Jewel Bling Strips, and Holly Washi Tape.
Here's a closer look with the hope that you can see that, after I attached the holly panels, I embossed the entire card with a holly patterned embossing folder. Before attaching the houses, I scored every eighth inch to simulate siding. The wreaths have pinecones on them, but I decided to place a Jewel over each pinecone for a more festive look.
Inside, I wanted to accent the simple sentiment with the Holly Washi Tape and the Skinny Red and Green Washi Tape.
Before I go, I wanted to share a link from a house of another sort in case you missed it. A Gingerbread House!
