Thanksgiving Place Cards

Hello Crafty Friends - I love this time of year, cooler weather and magical holidays.  Today I am sharing Thanksgiving place cards.  Eyelet Outlet has festive products you can use for your holiday crafting.

I cut out two sizes of rectangles to make the base and layering piece of the place cards and alphabet dies for the names.  Then I used the pumpkin brads, stippled jewel brads, jewel bling, and a Thanksgiving washi tape to decorate the place cards.  I picked up the Thanksgiving washi tape from the Eyelet Outlet booth at an expo.  While that particular washi tape is not available on the website, there are several other washi tapes to use instead, for example the gnome fall washi tape

Personalized place cards add a festive element to a table.  Thank you for visiting the blog today.  I hope this inspires you to create a holiday project using Eyelet Outlet products.  Please visit Eyelet Outlet for your holiday crafting supplies.

Ring Around the Rosettes

This week's creation is different than anything I've made in the past. I wanted to make some cards, but I wanted them to be different. It just so happened that I got some extra fabric from a friend yesterday and decided to incorporate the different fabrics into my cards while using Eyelet Outlet’s embellishments to enhance them.

I created six different rosettes out of the different fabrics and added matching bling or matching brads to the center of each rosette. From there, I was able to go in any direction I wanted as far on how to use the rosettes.

I started with the cards…one card is based around the Colored Daisy brads with a sunny yellow daisy in the middle of the rosette, a pink daisy around the sentiment, Gold Glitter Washi tape and two Yellow Stippled Jewel Brads in the corners.

The second card is a basic black and white card that is embellished with many Black Stippled Jewel Blings, some corners off of the Black Swirl Bling and a large Black faceted Jewel Bling in the center of the rosette.

The third card I created is a fun, everyday card with the rosette being made from fabric that had a farm theme.

I had to add the bright red Truck Brad to the middle. They just looked like they were made to go together. Eyelet Outlet has some many cute choices, you will find something that will match whatever theme you are going for.

On the outside of the card are several Black Stippled Jewel Bling as well as Black and Orange Bling. These cards are just so cute and so fun, and I cannot wait to send them to a friend.

With the other rosettes I made, I turned them into hair barrettes by gluing a basic hair clip to the back of each rosette.

I do not know which one is my favorite between the Tropical Bird rosette ...

or the vintage country style fabric with the Jeans and T-shirt Brad

They are both adorable and would look beyond cute in any little girl's hair.

Eyelet Outlets embellishments always jazz up your creations but as you can see here, they can also be the center of your creations without being overstated. LOVE.

Have a wonderful week and always be STRATE-UP CRAFTY!

Gift Wrapping with Eyelet Outlet

I absolutely love gift wrapping!  I especially love topping my gifts with paper rosettes and Eyelet Outlet offers so many wonderful products to place in the center of your rosettes.  Today I'm bringing you a few of my recent gift wrapping projects.

I created these diamond shaped rosettes with my Cricut Maker.  They are from the Scoring Wheel Rosettes image set.  I used red stippled jewel brads with gold edges for the center of the rosettes.  See all of our gorgeous jeweled brads here!  I attached them with a bit of hot glue into the center of the rosette.  I used a gold elastic cord to attach them to my gift.

For this package I sent with a candy theme and topped my rosettes with a few peppermint candy brads and a candy cane brad.  Again, I secured them with just a touch of hot glue into the center of the rosette.

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Eyelet Outlet!

It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year - Part 2

The Studious Owl Note Pad holder is the perfect gift for your favorite teachers.

Her entire body is made from layering the Brown Glitter Washi Tape which gives her a perfect amount of owl sparkle. Her pupils are two black Bumpy Bling jewels and the jewel on her tassel is a Silver Edged Stippled Brad.

To make sure she can read every word in her Explore book from the Bicycle Brads, she is wearing her ever-so-fashionable reading glasses from the Eyeglasses Brads.

Lift up her head and you will find a special pocket that fits note pads or sticky notes. Oh, and if you need a ruler, this owl has you covered!  The inside is trimmed with the Tape Measure Washi Tape.  HOW CUTE IS THAT?!?!

Our last but definitely not least piece is for that very special bus driver.

Unfortunately, they sometimes bus drivers get overlooked so we need to try to always recognize what they do and how we appreciate them.  Imagine their face as your little hands them this card shaped like their school bus!

The two children on the bus are so excited to get to school because the bus driver makes it a fun ride.  The two Bumpy Bling headlights are leading them safely to school.

I loved making this Back to School/Teacher Gift collection as it reminded me of when my babies were still in school and all the fun we had!

I hope these inspired you to create something special for the teacher and bus driver in your life.  There’s nothing better than bringing a smile to someone’s face and with a little help from Eyelet Outlet, you can do just that. 😊

Have a wonderful week and always be STRATE UP CRAFTY!

Santa Claus Is Coming To Town!!

Christmas planning, crafting, and preparing is in full swing! I just love this image of Santa gazing up at the sparkling, decked out tree...

I love using Kraft cardstock for my card bases and started with adding a Christmas sentiment in brown and distressing the edges! Then I used my Christmas tree image with Santa and colored in with markers! I embellished with Swirl Bling Jewel in Champagne, and Jewel Bling Strips in green and clear. My tree topper was a Stippled Jewel Edge Brad in Clear. I also added a little fuzzy, white, fun flocking to Santa's white fur trimming!

Lastly, I decided a Christmas banner across the top would add more layering and of course sparkle and used the Swirl Bling Jewel in Champagne!!

I hope you are making great progress on your Christmas crafts and greeting cards! Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget to shop at Eyelet Outlet for your crafting needs!

Here We Come A Caroling...

I am excited to share with you a Christmas Greeting Card today featuring the new adorable caroler brads!

I think these little happy carolers are so cute and festive! I started with Kraft cardstock to create a 5x7 card and distressed the edges using a dark green ink. I then began measuring the top of my card for placing my wreaths and banners. After placing the wreath brads, ribbon, banners with added jewel brads, I went to work on creating the center portion. I love the Christmas hymn, Joy To The World, so I added a portion of the sheet music for my middle and layered on to a fun Christmas floral patterned paper! I added my sentiment in dark green and embellished with Christmas carolers and snowflake bling jewels.

This was a fun card to create! I loved making the banner across the top! Here is your shopping list for Eyelet Outlet products used!

Did She Say, "Steampunk Goggles"?!

Yes. Yes, I (Lauren) did say STEAMPUNK GOGGLES! Because that's what's on the card I made for today, a pair of fanciful goggles surrounded by lots of Eyelet Outlet Gear Brads and Pearl Swirls and... well, lots of other good stuff I'll tell you about in a minute.

The goggles themselves were actually really easy to make. They're just layers of diecut circles, stacked together. The largest (dark brown) is about 2 5/8", the silver layer is 2 3/8", the copper colored layer is 2" and the die that cut the hole through all of them so we could see Victorian London (via magazine photo, lol) is just over an inch. I think the thing that really "sells" the feeling of steampunk and fantasy is that after I assembled all the layers, I set twelve (12!) tiny 1/16" Mini Round Gold Brads around each lens, to act as the rivets holding the goggles together. I also used a Pipe Brad for the nosepiece and a couple of tiny scraps of copper colored paper at either end to suggest straps.

The steampunk goggles I have seen photos of (because apparently YES, this is really A Thing!) all have gears and attachments, which I decided to add to the background, instead of the goggles themselves. I stenciled a few gears over some text paper. Then I got to work adding Gear BradsScrew Brads, Valves from the Pipe Brad set, a Compass Brad, and even a couple of film canisters from the Movie Brads set, because they looked like a different type of cog or wheel to me! Then I added bits of a Pearl Swirl to suggest movement, and filled in with some 8mm Stippled Jewel Brads and loose Pearls.

For the sentiment, I used letter stickers in brown cardstock (dream) and silver metallic chipboard. I swapped out the "I" in "big" for a Pipe Brad and a Gear Brad embellished with a Tiny Round Brad from the Brown Mix.

I hope you'll be inspired to dream up your own fanciful creations, because there really is an Eyelet Outlet Brad for EVERYTHING! ♥

is currently reading a novel in the Steampunk/Fantasy genre,
in case you were wondering, lol.

When Irish Frogs Are Smiling

Sunday is St. Patrick's Day and since I (Lauren) happen to be about 60% Irish, here are a couple of timely cards, all dressed in green, featuring our adorable Eyelet Outlet Frog Brads!

By now I expect everyone knows that premade journal cards are my very favorite cardmaking "secret" so it's no surprise that I have employed them here. These particular ones happen to be from Doodlebug Design; I love their clear bright colors. I changed the "Happy" to "Hoppy" on the sentiment flag with the help of a green jewel brad, and added a handsome pair of Frog Brads as well as one of the cattails and waterlillies which come in the same set. A green Heart Enamel completes the little scene.

For my second card, just a single Frog Brad, a few purple Heart Enamels, and a strip of Stripe Tape trimmed with some Skinny Glitter Tape.

I hope all of my Irish friends will enjoy a very Happy St. Patrick's Day... but then EVERYBODY is Irish on March 17th! ♥

is 60% Irish, 40% Hungarian
and 100% in favor of holidays
that feature Green Beer!

Have a Deliciously Colorful Day

Hello Everyone!
This is Georgiana from Carson's Creations and today is my day to post at Eyelet Outlet and BradsBefore I share my design team project,  I want to let you know that there is a Daily Deal where you can get a product at a discounted price. Be sure to check it out!

Here is my Design Team project...
Today is the last day of Spring Break and we return to school tomorrow for only 9 more weeks. Although the weather was a bit chilly during break, I have Spring on my mind. I made some M&M treats for my co-workers as a way to say "welcome back".

I layered these paper flowers and added a brad to the center to hold them together. I adhered them to the topper in the upper left corner and then found a fun sentiment. A couple pink gems in the lower right corner to coordinate with the base of the topper and the flowers on the pattern paper.

A close-up of the pretty flower...

I used the following products from Eyelet Outlet and Brads shop.
Purple Paper Flowers
Pink Jewel Bling

Pearl Brads with gold edge
Stippled Brad with gold edge

Eyelet Outlet and Brads has such a wide variety of products you need to check them out!
Stay Creative,

Little Black Purse

Hi Everyone!
It's Nancy from Kandykrazee, and I am so excited  to be here as a Design Team
member with my first post on the Eyelet Outlet blog!

For my project, I decided to make this super cute clutch from SVG Cuts!

I used the clear bumpy bling and the clear bling on the flap of the purse,
and on the front of the bag, I used the black pearl bling strips.  These super long
strips are great, so much easier than attaching them one by one!

To attach the purse strap, I used a couple of black stippled Jewel Brads!
