Information we collect

Information you provide directly

• Contact form: your name, email address, and the content of your message.
• Newsletter signup: your email address and the page from which you subscribed.
• Software activation: your email address and device identifier (when the activation feature becomes available).

Information collected automatically

• Analytics data: we use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymised usage data including pages visited, time on site, referral source, device type, browser, and approximate geographic location (city-level). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies. No personally identifiable information is sent to Google. We have IP anonymisation enabled.
• Server logs: our web server automatically records your IP address, browser user-agent string, and the pages you request. These logs are retained for up to 90 days for security and diagnostic purposes.

How we use your information

• To respond to your contact form enquiries.
• To send you newsletter updates about Fonix One, including product announcements, launch dates, and early-bird offers. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• To process software activation requests.

Newsletter & the Spam Act 2003

Our newsletter complies with the Australian Spam Act 2003 (Cth). We will only send you commercial electronic messages if you have given your consent (by subscribing via our website). Every message will clearly identify us as the sender and include a functional unsubscribe mechanism. Unsubscribe requests are honoured within 5 business days.

Our website uses cookies for the following purposes:

• Analytics cookies: set by Google Analytics to distinguish unique visitors and track sessions. These cookies are named _ga and _ga_* and expire after 2 years and 24 hours respectively.
• Essential cookies: Laravel may set a session cookie (laravel_session) and a CSRF token cookie (XSRF-TOKEN) to ensure the website functions correctly and securely.

Disclosure to third parties

• Email service provider: we may use a third-party transactional email service (such as AWS SES or Mailgun) to deliver newsletter and contact form emails. These providers process your email address solely to deliver messages on our behalf and are contractually bound to protect your data.
• Hosting provider: our website is hosted on servers that may be located outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure our hosting provider meets equivalent privacy standards.
• Law enforcement: if required by Australian law or a valid court order.

Overseas disclosure

Some of the third parties described above may store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States. Before disclosing personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient complies with the APPs or is subject to a substantially similar privacy regime, in accordance with APP 8.
