Added a few patches of moss and a bit of dead grass, and though really subtle I think it works quite well.

Terrain prototype
Think I got my terrain prototype down. I only forgot that I wanted to add a few bits of dead grass and mold on the base and building. At first that would not be really appropriate for an Industrial Gothic sector, but as I constantly see how grasses are taking over as soon as buildings or areas are left unused, I think it will fit in and look good too.

Scenery basing
After the warping incident I set out to test a few, clearly more succesful, ways of basing terrain.
Since I only had foamboard, I decided to try out, what seemed to a general consensus of several pieces of advice I received, and simply paint both sides of the board. Only had 3 mm left, but I figured tat would be the ultimate test then. So before anything else I painted the foamboard with just a thing layer of a cheap artshop black acrylic paint.
By suggestion I had gotten some foamex - or foamalux, as it was called at my local signmaker's. Quite easy to cut, and not bendy once it's cut down to small bits like this one.
Both then had a bit of details added, and then a mix of filler, black paint and various sized of gravel.
They have now dried over night and look mom - NO WARPING!!!

Storage tank
Just before the game the other night I had a bit of time to finish off the storage tank for my manufactorum. After it was painted to look dirty I gave the velding lines a brownish wash added some dark brown spots and painted metal bits rusted. Then using a Vallejo rust wash added stripes of rust running down the sides, emphasized the brown spots and underside of the velding lines. The I added some vallejo liquid mask and painted the omega logo in that area. After the red paint was dry I carefully removed the mask with a finger and it yielded a pretty cool chipped appearance.

Gamenight
Gamenight last night and we had our first game using the Inquisimunda-ish rules, we thought they were actually working quite well, only had a few minor adjustments. Ammoroll, were harsh but that might have been down to some unlucky dicing. What's your experience with that rule?
Had two fighter dead though - something of a blow this early to a warband.
We were lucky enough to get our new MDF terrain in the mail just before the game, and had time to put most of it together. What a treat, very easy put together and very playable - from TT Combat.

Big terrain project in the pipeline
Yesterday, while waiting for some paint to dry, I opened an old box - you know one of those project that somehow got sidetracked - to see what it would actually look like once put together. Well it's bloody huge isn't it? Honestly didn't see that one coming. Makes me happy though. Actually I think it's playable as it is, and I'm going to have a blast 40K-ing this up.

Sarissa Precision
Some time ago I discovered, to me at least, a new company making the new black - I mean laser-cut MDF terrain. I instantly fell in love with the design of their different terrain pieces, and since I all ready were in terrain mode, I decided I needed to see the stuff live. Luckily, they have in their range some cool looking sky walkway - just what I needed to get even more 3D on the battlefield. So I ordered a few of those plus a landingpad - a friend ordered a few other items so those can soon be seen as well. Haven't gotten around to build any of them yet, though I did unpack a couple, and I've not been disappointed so far. Very easy to push out the not wanted/cut out parts, slim but stable and easy to figure out how to stick together. They also come with a base for stability, and they were much larger than I anticipated. So all in all - score! Really looking forward to getting the time to try and assemble a few.
In the mean time go have a look at their site: CLICK!
I should perhaps also add, that they have several different lines, from the Dark Ages through The Wild West, WWII all the way to Sci-Fi. The Sci-Fi line is called System ∞ 28mm. They have free shipping for orders over 50£ and they shipped my stuff within two days - had it in Denmark in four days, excellent.
The below picture is not my terrain, but nicked from web, just to give you guys a teaser.

Cityblocks
A while ago I made a couple of "blocks" to add some depth to our battlefield. Only basic shapes, but I had a few ideas on how to improve them, make them more colorful and interesting. The biggest one had warped some in the drying process and I also needed to correct that. With some - I mean it was all about right for a spacemarine skatepark. I made a cut down the middle, straightened it out as good as I could and filled the gap with PVA glue. I then added some support on the sides in the form of a couple of panels and hid the cut with some rusted metal. Looks quite good, and it did take care of the worst of the warping. Not quite there yet, but that will have to do for now.

A Bridge too Far
Been working on a Tecnobridge from Pegasus Hobbies for the last couple of days. Really need to play more games, as it seem my productivity goes up several levels everytime a game night is approaching.
As the last couple of terrain pieces, I've been experimenting with different weathering techniques - rust in so many ways.......
Brilliant model by the way, easy to assemble and only a few mouldlines. When I bought it I also got a small Gothic building, looking forward to put that together too.

Water Purification Tower
A bit more terrain done. Water coolers, Air purification, Power Station - don't really know. Love the Pieces though and spend way too much time on them. They will look good on the battlefield though and add a bit of color. They might also be a good objective. Cannot remember who the manufacturer is?
