Junior IT Infrastructure & DevSecOps Enthusiast
First-year BSc Digital Systems student at the University of Piraeus. I am an adept problem-solver passionate about secure network architectures, homelabbing and OS administration. I build robust infrastructures out of resource-constrained environments as learning opportunities.
- Zero-Trust Infrastructure: Managing a hybrid bare-metal Arch Linux homelab. Orchestrating 10+ containers (Docker) including Nginx Proxy Manager, Vaultwarden and Uptime Kuma, with all external traffic secured through a strict WireGuard VPN tunnel.
- Network Privacy & Routing: Architecting encrypted DNS pipelines using Pi-hole integrated with
dnsproxy(DNS-over-HTTPS via Quad9). Configured router-level port forwarding. Set strict UFW default-drop policies and explicit UFW route rules for VPN micro-segmentation. - Hardware Modifications & Firmware: Successfully bypassed OEM hardware write-protections on Chromebook motherboards. Deploying standalone Linux environments on repurposed hardware as a server.
- Alternative Compute Environments: Exploring varied compute architectures beyond standard Desktop OS, including Oracle VirtualBox, Kali Nethunter on mobile, and ChromeOS developer environments (Crostini terminal/LXC and Crouton chroots).
- Database & Chaos Engineering: Architected and used MS SQL Server environments to learn T-SQL. Simulated data destruction to practice execution plan optimization and execute precise
RESTORE DATABASE ... WITH NORECOVERYoperations.
- OS & Administration: Windows, ChromeOS (Crostini LXC & Crouton chroot), Mobile Linux (Termux, Kali Nethunter: GUI via VNC) and Linux Distributions (CLI & GUI: Arch, Ubuntu, Kali, Mint).
- Networking & Security: TCP/IP, WireGuard, Nginx Proxy Manager, UFW / iptables, Pi-hole, dnsproxy (DoH), Nmap, Wireshark.
- Virtualization & Containers: Docker & Docker Compose, Oracle VirtualBox, Mobile Linux (Termux).
- Scripting & Observability: Bash/Shell, Python, C, Git Version Control.
