This is a fork of Git Extensions called "Git Ext MoLiNet", modified for Linux compatibility using the System.Windows.Forms package.
- Current State: Alpha version
- Compatibility: Runs on Linux with known layout issues
- Testing: Limited testing performed (smoke-tested on WSL Ubuntu)
- Known Limitations:
- Many layout issues present
- All plugins are currently disabled
- Built-in terminal is disabled
- May contain undetected bugs
There are currently no plans for extensive maintenance unless community contributors step forward. Fixing Linux compatibility issues is challenging and requires significant effort.
So the goal is to make the whole project a library to a cross-platform ready project, while preserving the ability to merge changes from the upstream project.
Git Extensions is a standalone UI tool for managing git repositories. It also integrates with Windows Explorer and Microsoft Visual Studio (2015/2017/2019).
