Dear friends:
I delved into it in my spare time and have successfully installed chromeOS onto an LVM logical volume,
and it booted up successfully.
Compared to the advantages of .img files, LVM logical volumes bypass the file system layer directly,
enabling better performance improvements, as AI has told me.
In my personal opinion, .img files are prone to being accidentally deleted by the rm command,
whereas LVM logical volumes are more secure and less likely to be damaged by other operating systems;
The new version supports the following new features:
- The graphical interface allows for setting kernel command line parameters.
Compared to the terminal-based operation method of Brunch, this interface is more aesthetically pleasing and does not require a reboot. - Boot ChromeOS on the LVM logical volume;
- Install chromeOS with a graphical interface onto an LVM logical volume; (the version after next)
- Operate LVM logical volumes via graphical interface; (the version after next)
- Graphical interface: Update the Brunch framework; (the version after next)
- Graphical interface updated to slot A|B; (the version after next)
However, I've had less spare time recently, so I haven't finished organizing and uploading them yet.
I'm still designing the theme for the new interface and struggling with some layout and icon issues; I'm the only one maintaining it with no one to help me, so you'll have to wait for several weeks or even months. Cheer me on.
