This license is intended to make CorePin freely usable and inspectable while
preventing commercial resale or repackaging of the software without permission.
## 1. Permission
You may use, copy, fork, modify, build, and run CorePin for:
- personal use
- hobby use
- educational use
- research use
- internal business or commercial use
You may also share modified or unmodified copies with others, provided that:
- this license is included with the shared copy
- the copyright notice is preserved
- the copy is not sold, licensed, rented, hosted, bundled, or otherwise offered
as part of a paid product or paid service
- the copy does not claim to be an official CorePin release unless it was
published by the CorePin project maintainer
## 2. Commercial Restrictions
You may not, without prior written permission from the CorePin project
maintainer:
- sell CorePin or a modified version of CorePin
- sell access to CorePin or a modified version of CorePin
- include CorePin in a paid product, paid bundle, paid appliance, or paid
service
- rebrand CorePin or a modified version as a commercial product
- charge for installing, hosting, distributing, or supporting CorePin as a
packaged commercial offering
Internal commercial use is allowed. For example, a business may use CorePin for
its own gaming PC, simulator, lab, benchmark station, test bench, training
setup, or internal workflow.
## 3. Forks and Modifications
Forks and modifications are allowed. If you distribute a modified version, make
it clear that it is a modified version and not an official CorePin release.
You may not use the CorePin name, logo, or branding in a way that suggests your
fork, service, or product is official or endorsed by the CorePin project
maintainer.
## 4. Contributions
Unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing, any contribution submitted to the
CorePin project is licensed under this same license.
By submitting a contribution, you represent that you have the right to submit it
and that it can be included in CorePin under this license.
## 5. No Warranty
CorePin is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied,
including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a
particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Use CorePin at your own risk. Behavior may vary depending on CPU topology,
Windows scheduler behavior, game launchers, anti-cheat policies, GPU and chipset
drivers, VR/OpenXR runtime state, power-plan state, and other software running
on the PC.
## 6. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall the CorePin project maintainer or contributors be liable for
any claim, damages, or other liability arising from the use of CorePin, whether
in an action of contract, tort, or otherwise.
This includes, without limitation, loss of data, game or app malfunction, system
instability, loss of performance, power-plan changes, process-affinity changes,
VR runtime changes, service disruption, or interruption of use.
## 7. Support and Maintenance
This license does not create any obligation to provide support, maintenance,
updates, bug fixes, documentation, or responses to questions or feature
requests.
## 8. Permission for Other Uses
If you want to use CorePin in a way that is not allowed by this license, contact
the CorePin project maintainer to request separate written permission.
