  1. There's now a new miriway-shell.settings configuration file to contain configuration options that will be reloaded when the file is updated. If the file does not exist when miriway starts it will be populated with comments describing the available options.
  2. Support for Wayland protocol extension ext-workspace-v1
  3. All the accessibility options supported by Mir 2.22 are available via the miriway-shell.settings configuration file

Miriway changes

This integrates and builds on Mir 2.22 features.

  • #160: ext-workspace-v1 integrates Miriway's workspaces with shell components
  • #168: Wire up "live config" options for accessibility, input and keymap

  • #169: Newer Mesa defers to GBM backends

Miriway changes

These were mostly inspired by work to integrate with LXQt

  • #144: Add an option to toggle always-on-top for the active window
  • #150: Add MIRIWAY_DECORATIONS environment variable to customise the decoration strategy
  • #154: Pick up the cursor theme from the usual places
  • #155: It shouldn't be possible to dock/undock shell chrome or "always on top" windows

Snap changes

Now using Mesa 24.2 (which has now landed in Ubuntu 24.04)
