Maybe I am missing something but I do not see any functional change in your patch :)

The interface name returned by enable_monitor_mode isn't always the same as the one given as an argument, for instance it sometimes gets a "mon" suffix appended.

This patch makes connect_interface_select use the correct name by shadowing the iface variable after a successful call to enable_monitor_mode.
