2022-2024

Even though I chose Information Physics as my master's, I ended up divirding from quantum computing (the hardware is not there yet). Wanted to build something usefull for the world NOW and not theorize now -> wait for the HW to be better -> Hope that it works in the future. I work better at iterating rapidly across prototypes and ending up with something roboust in the end. Ended up doing my thesis at Bosch Multimedia in Braga where I developed a fully working framework for FULLY automated quality control in any production line, capable of detecting anomalies in any industrial part being only required a small dataset of defect free parts. At the same time, I also got into the Boost Program at another Bosch for that last year, so 2 jobs at a time.

2019-2022

Three intense years of diving deep into math, physics, and programming. Even learned on how to do full programs in assembly! Aside from studing I was also doing part-time research at LIP which contributed for me to be always tired. During summer breaks I oriented other students in internertships on ML & particle physics at the lab. Ended up falling in love with quantum mechanics, published a paper about it + ML (my two loves at the time). Also did some colaborations with internal departments at my lab, notoriously with SPAC, trying to apply AI to the Portuguese Medical Records.

2016-2019

A future engineering student, in love with learning programming on my own, coding my own webscrapping/websites/automated (insert anything)/algo trading projects to try to make 💸. Had an excelent physics teacher that put me in love with being curious about nature, their forces and building blocks. Also loved robotics, was a founding member of my school robotics club, build a 3D printer from scrach on the summer of 19'. Ended up at choosing Physics Engineering as my batcherlors. Won a regional entrepreneur award for building an automated marketing tool for small businesses.

📚 University Classes & Projects

  • Quantum Reinforcement Learning - Comparative study: Quantum vs. classical models for Cart Pole. Examining entanglement layers and data re-uploading, highlighting quantum model superiority.

  • Latinium - Latin-based programming language.

  • Advanced Instrumentation Project - Airplane simulator (MATLAB) controlled by an accelerometer which communicated using IEEE 1451 protocol. All the microcontroller code was written in Assembly and C.

  • Computational Physics Project - Apart from the solved exercises, this repository also contains the final project, which consisted in simulating Two-stream Plasma instability using the Vlasov-Poisson equations.

  • Parallel Computing Course - Contains the final project. The assigment consisted in making an optimized & parallelized version of the Bucket Sort algorithm, written in C, using OpenMP.

  • Quantum Computing Course - Solved exercises.

  • Ciber Physics Computing Course - Course work includes UPPAL modeling, Haskell programming language creation, and formal methods verification.
