This contribution introduces a Python-based bandwidth monitoring module for Mininet that enables real-time tracking of interface traffic across network topologies. The feature collects RX/TX statistics from hosts and links, exposes them through a lightweight REST API, and provides a foundation for visual dashboard integration.
It improves network observability within simulated environments and supports research, experimentation, and performance analysis workflows.
