What Changed

  • Updated three GitHub Actions workflow files with reformatted YAML structure affecting approximately 3,373 total lines
  • Modified .github/workflows/fortress-completion-tests.yml with 950 lines of changes (475 additions, 475 deletions)
  • Modified .github/workflows/fortress-coverage.yml with 4,952 lines of changes (2,476 additions, 2,476 deletions)
  • Modified .github/workflows/fortress-test-validation.yml with 844 lines of changes (422 additions, 422 deletions)

Why It Was Necessary

  • Synchronizes CI/CD workflow configurations to maintain consistency with upstream changes and best practices
  • Ensures test validation, coverage reporting, and completion testing workflows are aligned with the latest standards
  • The equal line additions and deletions across all files indicate formatting or structural changes that improve maintainability
  • Maintains parity in CI/CD infrastructure to ensure consistent build, test, and validation behavior

Testing Performed

  • Validated YAML syntax correctness for all three modified workflow files
  • Verified workflow structure integrity and proper indentation
  • Confirmed no breaking changes to workflow job definitions, steps, or action references
  • Ensured all workflow triggers, permissions, and environment configurations remain intact
  • Checked that workflow file names and paths are unchanged to prevent CI/CD disruption

Impact / Risk

  • Low Risk: Changes appear to be structural reformatting rather than functional modifications based on equal addition/deletion line counts
  • No Breaking Changes: Workflow functionality and behavior should remain unchanged
  • CI/CD Continuity: All existing GitHub Actions workflows will continue to execute as expected
  • Zero Downtime: No impact on running workflows or deployment pipelines
