Is this project still maintained?

There hasn't been any activity since October 2025, and there are a number of open PRs. I maintain a project that depends on this with mdbook 0.5 compatibility (specifically #196).

Is this still maintained? Should it be replaced by a community fork? Or are there already existing alternatives?
