Clean up config directory / settings files #350

The config directroy contains of a least 5 files. This is hard to understand for any user.

The directory should only contain the users settings file, not more.

Also the docs say the users should copy the whole default settings file. Thats wrong, they should only provide settings they want to change and leave all other defaults as is.
