One common cause of the freezes is due an incorrect dimension of the cover image. If the image is too large or have odd width or height could cause issues.
Other common causes are external HDD with cross linked files, corrupted PARAM.SFO or ISO image or file names including non ANSI characters.
My recommendation is to split the library of games in parts so you can find the game or games that are causing the freezes.
The easiest way to test is to rename the folders that are scanned and test renaming each one at a time. Also start unplugging the external disk drives.
Another possible cause is that IRISMAN tries to load webman when it is launched. Edit the settings.ini found in /dev_hdd0/game/IRISMAN/USRDIR and remove the path for "webftp_server.sprx". Save the settings file and test again.

I experience some type of freezing where I cant load into IrisMan I have to hard reset the console and try again.
