Hey There 👋🏻

I'm Andrei! (pronounced aHn-dRay)

Platform Engineer · Infrastructure Architect · Application Engineer · Software Developer
21+ Year Professional · Go | Rust · Terraform · OCI|AWS · Release Management · CI/CD · DevOps
Entrepreneurship · Engineering Excellency · Own Without Ego · Women In Tech · Neurodivergent

I design and operate infrastructure that saves money at scale and ships software faster.

I am a Computer Engineer which means that I spent my college years building electric circuits and programming hardware microcontrollers for embedded technologies and robotics. I'm not a computer science engineer and nor was I trained in that profession. I always viewed Computer Engineering to be harder than Computer Science. In 2026, the profession of software engineering has been supplemented with AI powered Computer Engineering!

I project myself professionally, love teaching others and especially building systems that solve complex problems. I took initiative to get Cisco to sponsor and send me to RailsGirlsRDU 2014 so I could help teach and provide technical support to ambitious women who wanted to learn programming by building a rails twitter clone. I have demonstrated a talent for teaching since childhood.

Diversity is important. Diversity of thought. Diversity of culture. Diversity of backgrounds. I survived Ceaușescu's orphanages in Romania and have spent my entire career collaborating with people from around the world on various technical challenges.

Cisco called me. Oracle called me. BitFry called me. WB Games called me. SurgePays called me. Beamable called me. Walter called me. I am open to new opportunities. I am forward thinking, business oriented, and conscious of time and money being spent.

I have one copyrighted work that is called My Best Friend that is available to read here for free if you are interested. It's about my dog named Klaus.

Introduce yourself, tell me what you're working on, tell me what you need my help with, then tell me how I can get in touch with you. I am user 91,485 on @GitHub. I've been around for a while. It's that simple and I won't bite.
