Welcome to keyboard-ita-dev. This project offers an alternative keyboard layout designed specifically for Italian users, especially those who code. It allows fast access to symbols, parentheses, and technical characters using easy shortcuts with the AltGr key, while keeping the standard Italian layout intact.

🚀 Getting Started

To get started with keyboard-ita-dev, follow these simple steps:

  1. Visit the Releases Page Head to our Releases Page to find the latest version of the keyboard layout.

  2. Select the Latest Release On the releases page, find the most recent version listed. Click on it to see the available download options.

  3. Download the File Look for the appropriate file for your operating system (Windows, Mac, etc.). Click on the file link. The download will start automatically.

  4. Install the Layout

    • For Windows Users:
      • After the download completes, locate the file in your downloads folder.
      • Double-click to run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
    • For Mac Users:
      • Open the downloaded file and drag the keyboard layout into the Keyboard layouts folder as instructed.
  5. Activate the Keyboard Layout

    • Windows: Go to Settings > Time & Language > Language. Under Preferred languages, add the new keyboard layout.
    • Mac: Open System Preferences > Keyboard > Input Sources. Click the "+" button and add the new layout.
