I want to write a script which fetches issue descriptions and hands them off to async coding agents.
--plain outputs unnecessary stuff
--raw is difficult to parse

Add --description flag to issue view command which subject + description only (in same format as --plain, but without all the extra stupp)

Seconded, but I'd go for more there. For any kind of scripting, being able to fetch a single issue and also being able to specify columns would be a huge benefit.
On the other hand, my workaround works just fine:
