Contribution Guidelines

Please ensure your pull request adheres to the following guidelines:

  • Search previous suggestions before making a new one, as yours may be a duplicate.
  • Make sure your contribution is useful before submitting.
  • Make an individual pull request for each suggestion.
  • Use the following format: [name](link) - Description.
  • Additions should be added in alphabetical order of the relevant category.
  • New categories, or improvements to the existing categorization are welcome.
  • Keep descriptions short and simple, but descriptive.
  • Start the description with a capital and end with a full stop/period.
  • Check your spelling and grammar.
  • Make sure your text editor is set to remove trailing whitespace.
  • The pull request should have a useful title and include a link to the package and why it should be included.

Project eligibility

The following requirements apply to new entries in Libraries, Tools, Languages, and Editor Plugins.

A project must:

  • Link to its canonical public GitHub repository.
  • Have at least 10 GitHub stars when the pull request opens.
  • Include a recognized open-source license.
  • Have clear English documentation with installation or usage instructions.
  • Be neither archived nor disabled.
  • Show development activity within the last 12 months.
  • Be at least 90 days old, measured from its first public release or, if it has no release, its first public commit.

The 10-star threshold is an intake requirement, not an automatic acceptance rule. Maintainers may reject projects that do not fit the list, duplicate an existing entry, or lack a clear benefit for Solidity developers.

Official documentation, articles, books, tutorials, educational examples, and deployed-contract examples do not require a GitHub repository or a star count.

For a project that does not meet one of these requirements, open an issue and get maintainer approval before submitting a pull request. Existing entries are grandfathered.

AI and agent contributions

If an AI or agent authors a pull request, the final line of the pull request description must be exactly:
