As mentioned in #6, refactoring
length-prefixed-streamto be async-runtime agnostic - rather than relying onasync-std- is a useful first step in transitioning the entire project.I've chosen to use the smol runtime for tests and examples, since it has relatively few dependencies and is quicker to compile.
